Queens Park vs Arbroath

Recommended Posts

It's not a meltdown just a fair assessment of the facts. Two wins in the last 10 games. Worst home record. Worst goals-for at home. Approaching final run and the line-up is still changing week to week. Sometimes half to half. It'll need to be some kind of biblical intervention to reverse that trend in the last seven games.

This continued see-saw of performances isn't a blip. It's the norm.

Couldn't agree more.

"It’s vital that we try to reach the high standards that we’ve shown ourselves to be capable of at times this season and if we do that then there’s a good chance we can take something from the game.â€

This comment from the official website seems to be the norm and it's beginning to sound like a broken record.

Much, much better from us today and we absolutely deserved the three points. Controlled the game for long periods, created more than we have done in recent times at Hampden. Thought it was going to be another one of those days when we lost an absolute nothing goal. The reaction on and off the park at the winner was a fanstastic release after some of the recent results and performances at home. Was pleased to see big Bryan Wharton back at close to the level that we know he can play. Hopefully this gives everyone a huge shot in the arm and we can muscle our way into the playoffs.

Well deserved victory in a game where we couldn't afford to drop points. Playing four at the back made a huge difference today giving berry and mckernon more space to roam in, however I'm still not convinced by burns cause he gets into great positions but his crossing is awful. Great celebration from mcgeever who has came on leaps and bounds throughout the season but Motm for me was Galt who was terrific, never giving the Arbroath defence a moments peace.

Far better from QP today. Utter scenes at the end. McLeish's shot might have been goal bound anyway but jolly decent of McGeever to get that final killer touch on the ball. Glad Gus opted for the 4-4-2 which suits our players better than the 3-5-2 (or whatever it was) on Tuesday night. Well done all and we're still in there!

Wasn't there today but delighted to have got the win after Tuesday's shambles, and going by the Twitter updates we created far more too. If we took half the chances we created we'd be skooshing this league.

First time in a long time we've had both halves where we've played well. Back four (goal aside) plus Wullie had a good day. McLeish and Mitchell both made a good contribution going forward too. Wharton - never a doubt in my mind.

A lot of nice movement and a very noticeable rise in good chances when passing and moving. Galt finally recovered his early season promise and made a huge difference today.

Hope Gus has the sense to keep a winning eleven starting next week. Good goals, good passing, good movement off the ball. Confidence up. Methil here we come.
