Maybe winters x 2 and carlo monti restricted his game time?

Not many would get a starting slot ahead of them three.

Add Mackenzie to the winters and Monti group.

However no doubt he is a good player, who could develop into a good super league player, will be disappointed to see him go.

Said on here at the time that Hepburn should not go to Pollok. Its sad but true but big clubs will always play players signed from senior or players that have top junior experience over somebody signed from lower league clubs..no matter the potential. Managers are wary of things going wrong while a big name player is sitting on the bench.

Was surprised Pollok never let Robbie Winters go when Monti was signed, squad seems a bit top heavy and looks like they will lose a good young talent.

Sad to see this.Feel that he has a lot more to offer than Higgins but Robbie is total class and would always be kept in the squad.

Robbie was good while at Kilbirnie won't hear a bad word about him, a genuine good guy and a fantastic footballer. He is 41 though and too long in the tooth/too good to be a squad player in junior fitba. Was surprised when he returned to Pollok thought he would go somewhere he would be first choice as surely with all the success he has had being able to still play 90 mins at his age and the quality he can still produce is more important than being a decent backup.

The future is always more important than the past, if Hepburn is as good as reports suggest, Pollok should convince him to stay until the summer...things can change quickly in football regarding squads. Like Forsyth at Troon, Lewis at Kilwinning, these are players you only part with when senior clubs come calling.

Pollok FC can today confirm that, after talks with manager Tony McInally, Derek Hepburn has withdrawn his transfer request and is delighted to be staying at Newlandsfield Park.

Pollok would also like to express their thanks towards all of the clubs who have expressed an interest in the player in recent days.
