I very much enjoy these early games (6pm start). The Mets vs White Sox game has been a great pitchers battle with DeGrom looking very good for NY

All games should be early games. I like it when there's about twelve on the slate and I can just dip in and out of games.

Wow 9 in the 7th and 5 in the 6th.

Last 3 games v Padres won 16-13, lost 6-14, won 16-4!

Ichiro is about to pass Pete Rose for all time hits if you include Japan.

"It sounds like, in Japan, they're trying to make me the Hit Queen."

"I'm not trying to take anything away from Ichiro, he's had a Hall of Fame career, but the next thing you know, they'll be counting his high school hits."

Just back from my first live Majors ballgame, Arrieta is clinch. 2 walks and got himself in to a bases loaded 0 outs situation and somehow managed to avoid a run.

I know this is hardly news but it's fun as hell to watch.

Noah Syndergaard (only the second MLB player called Noah) of the Mets was removed from his start with elbow discomfort. He's scheduled to see a specialist already. Big alarm bell ringing for the Mets, who seem to have a lot of pitchers undergo TJ surgery.

I read also that Zack Wheeler has stopped all baseball activities after another setback in his recovery from TJ.

Michael A. Taylor had an absolute shocker for the Nats last night, went 0 for 5 with 5 swinging strikeouts, not making contact at all with any pitch and then committed an error which allowed the Dodgers to score 2 and walk off
