What is happening at Townhead park Cumnock?

You're mistaking my poor attempts at comedy for jealousy.

What IS comedy, however, is the misguided belief that any Talbot fan harbours any type of jealous thoughts when looking at Cumnock Juniors, especially  about a plastic pitch. Come on now.

Ok we will call it an obsession then, that better?

If it makes you happy then that's fine.

Goodness knows you'll need something to perk you up this morning!

Yeah it would have been good to get a result yesterday but it wasn't to be, but at the end of the day it was only 3pts every team loses now and again just like your animals have been doing this season.

We move on to the next game on Saturday and as fans are saying on p and b there's still twists and turns to happen in this league

Very true.

A concerted effort and maybe you can play at the top table.....for a year at least.

hopefully be the 1st game back at townhead

I would hope not, playing too soon on a fresh laid all-weather leads to problems a few years down the road. Surface needs to be allowed to settle for a good few weeks, after completion, before play on it.

so Brian Hamilton must have been lying then when he said we can play on it as soon as it's down. Suppose you'll know best

have worked with 3g/4g pitches for more than 10 years and have saw the long term problems caused by immediate play.

Can certainly confirm that when Petershill Park was built the pitch was ready in June 2007 when the complex opened, then lay for a good few weeks before it was played on. We played a few friendlies at home but played all our Sectional ties away from home because the pitch had to be tested and certified before we were allowed to play competitive matches on it.
