I see Sarah Smith has made it onto the BBC rich list hoovering up at least £185k delighted to see that even despite such a nice wedge she's a bitter wee unionist. They say money doesn't make you happy and her coupon is proof of that.

When we get Independence she will be lucky to get a job serving copy at the SBC.  Maybe it’s the thought of that that keeps her so miserable.

Looks like her job will be quite safe for a long time.

People who think Scotland's media landscape will look remotely different after independence baffle me. Scotland's media hasn't changed one iota in the 20 years we've had our own government, other than the ongoing and inevitable collapse of all the newspapers. Who exactly is going to replace her? The only Scottish broadcasters in any sphere who aren't raging unionists are football pundits and even there they're a distinct minority.

Vote to abolish Evel has been passed.  Nationalist claim it is a humiliation, Tories claim it makes all MPs equal.  Labour welcome it (as they do most Tory legislation).

With the majority in the commons, I can't really see it making any difference this term but possibly next decade the SNP may be able to leverage it for a referendum something after 2040.

EVEL was always nonsense as any vote on English matters usually had an expenditure consequential for Scotland.

The face you have when your "meagre" salary still doesn't touch the sides of a deposit of a flat in the new town.

Heres RTE political reporter Mary Regan. I propose a swap whereby Smith can go to Ireland and complain about "what critics said", Dublin Corporation and the demise of Fianna Fail (she'll find that familiar) and we get someone better looking and undoubtedly,  more impartial.

She could live like a queen in Cowdenbeath and be with her people.

He isn’t wrong!

10 years ago the catchphrase was "The Big Society". It was utter bollocks too. In 10 years the Tories will have something else that does the same thing, provides a smokescreen to mask the results of their policies.

The state and corporate media did a far better job of selling The Big Society though. There were loads of highly qualified professionals promoting the idea that cutting state spending would create economic prosperity and new types of social enterprise. The outcome was the exact opposite of that obviously but plenty of people bought into it.

A decade later we are still in the longest period of wage stagnation since the Napoleononic Wars and there is no one stupid enough to believe Levelling Up will actually happen and the government only put the bare minimum effort into it so they don't need to acknowledge that their actual ideology is managed and profitable social decline.

In order to Level Up, we must Build Back Better. Only upon completion of this, while embracing the New Normal, we can become a Global Britain

I am a Brexiteer, but its build back f**k all.

The economic chaos we witness and the widening division of rich and is all planned and will continue.

The new normal will see the overwhelming majority to become the real slaves to the man. So called middle classes will cease to exist.

The BLM issues will be a picnic by comparison. Only a deflection by the man. Only when the whites and people of all colours realise they have all been conned and unite, will society and economics change for the better.

Being a good neighbour and sharing was never an anglophile attribute and certainly not from the establishment, whose only fear is the common man waking up to the great con and taking them down.

Some rare media coverage of QE.

The Lords make one good point saying inequalities created by QE must be addressed. But they also say it has to be unwound which clearly isn't possible.

The BoE are unashamedly lying when they say they they aren't directly financing government borrowing. It's the monetary equivalent of Big Oil denying climate change.
