Patel saying it’s OK for England fans to boo the players who take the knee.  She’s beyond despicable.

Surely it’s okay to boo and to applause.

Totally up to the fan  to decide what they want to do.

whether you like it or not people associate TTK with BLM, the organisation.

Thats a fact.

Whether you like it or not racists will boo the players and they will rely on people like you to defend their right to do so. You can try and spin it anyway you want, but that's also a fact.

Booing doesn't make you a racist.

Booing anti-racism protests makes you at least open to accusations of racist sympathies at the very least.

Nice re-tread of the "following a team whose fans sing bigoted and sectarian songs doesn't make you bigoted or sectarian" stance, there.

There's a difference between saying it's virtue signalling and booing.

I do think it has become tokenistic but I don't think it's acceptable to boo either.

It sends complete the wrong message.

You could argue that any ‘action’ is tokenistic.  Personally I think it’s a good, clearly visible show of support.

People should keep taking the knee whilst it continues to wind up racists.
Not to mention the odd fleeting moment of amusement when you get to ask a conplete fucking brain donor what, specifically, are rhe aspects of Marxism he/she feel it neccessary to be so vocally against.... During an anti racism protest

This culture war shite takes attention away from the real issues. Instead of the focus being on institutional racism it is on football. The the anti racist position becomes supporting the knee rather than supporting police reform.

It's the same with Palestine. As soon as public opinion was clearly against Israel recently all the media and political attention in the USA and Europe went onto alleged anti Semitic incidents in their home countries. These kinds of dramas are cooked up to serve power.

I am somewhat cynical when it comes to commercial organisations backing actions.

Many are pushing it because it is more to do with their business image then any fundamental belief in anti-racism.

It can get to the point where people are going through the motions - taking the knee etc but nothing else happens.

It needs to be seen as just one part of the campaign not the only part.

Anything that might contribute to the facist Patel having an aneurism is good news imo.
