Delighted to see the comment section rife with beeling fuckwits moaning about how this is a bad thing because of a simplistic, alleged assumption it will cost more taxpayers money.

Really enjoyed the seethe this generated amongst the gammon community in my work this morning.

Kit Malthouse MP, a U.K. Minister of State, comes to a Scottish drugs conference, rejects to support safe injecting rooms that are supported by the Scottish Government before evidence is presented, then refuses to do media interview.

A nation of equals?

Kind of sad Kuro/Pep got banned because I'd have liked to troll him with this after his heads gone a while back about trans wrestlers in college

Would have been even better if they'd pushed up the age for concessions at the top end in line with access to state pension as decreed by their favoured government as a means of neutralising the cost of enabling the youth.

I see mubarak died a few days ago and had a full state funeral. Was it just me that missed this in the press?

I worked in a casino in the Hilton hotel in Taba-Sinai, Egypt in the 90s, I used to enjoy a Turkish Coffee every day at the start of my shift. One day I was told you need to have an instant coffee today as the other stuff is being used for the president who is visiting today. I never forgave him!

I'm glad he's dead now

She won't resign.

This is the Boris mob setting new boundaries with the civil service. If Labour had won and Seamus Milne had done what Cummings has done recently the right wing press would be begging for a military coup.

Tbh I think they are perfectly entitled to reform the civil service.

A straw in the wind here....a work colleague of mine previously worked for/with Patel and as far back as two years ago told me she found her to be one of the nastiest, duplicitous individuals she had ever encountered in the workplace or beyond.  She also intimated that in her opinion Patel was way, way out of her depth at senior level, and in the classic manner for someone whose confidence in their abilities is questionable, frequently relied on aggression and bullying to maintain her position.  Anything looking familiar here ??

She will go for sure, maybe not now but she'll go.

Not sure hostile press briefing is the way to go about "reforming".

They haven't stated any intention to reform the civil service.

Your final sentence might be true but has no relation to what's going on

Reforming the civil service by getting your adviser to hire his eugenicist blogging pals... Like a boss!

They have forced out some chinless chump with a knighthood which is where anyone would start.

They are obviously going to reform it to make it terrible in a different way but I do admire their ruthlessness.
