What the f**k has happened to this country that she is a serious contender to be the next PM.

If the good people of Angus had a better sense of humour, we could be looking at Kirstene Hair as a candidate by now.

The Tories voted for a known lazy, shambolic, unprincipled b*****d and are surprised he turned out to be a lazy, shambolic, unprincipled b*****d.

It's a bit like getting Yogi in as manager and then wondering why you've had to sack him 12 months later.

Boris's problem is that he had to appoint all these Brexiteers as Ministers and they're fairly hopeless.

Very simply, it's less of a leap for a Tory voter to vote LibDem than to vote labour (except in Scotland where it's anyone but the SNP for the unionists.)

Absolutely. Occam's razor. Or a rare case of tactical voting actually delivering a result.

This wasn't a "Red Wall" seat with an electorate suffering buyers' remorse. It was as tory as you could hope to find and, no matter how pissed off with johnson the local cúnts were, they were never going to vote for Labour.

Pray for the NHS in England and Wales.

That the new Thursday night Facebook fad?

Pray for the NHS, and keep voting for the people slowly strangling it to death.

Television presenter Rachel Riley has been awarded £10,000 in damages at the high court after suing a former Jeremy Corbyn aide over a Twitter spat.

Riley tweet "I think sound life advice is, if you don’t want eggs thrown at you, don’t be a Nazi."

Corbyn aide tweet: "Today Jeremy Corbyn went to his local mosque for visit My Mosque Day, and was attacked by a Brexiteer. Rachel Riley tweets that Corbyn deserves to be violently attacked because he is a Nazi. This woman is as dangerous as she is stupid. Nobody should engage with her. Ever."

Eh?

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/dec/20/a-routine-morning-for-psycho-raab-50-press-ups-and-a-fumbled-interview

"It’s 5.30am. The alarm goes off. Dominic Raab is awake almost immediately. He’s always been a light sleeper. Dom gets out of bed and cranks out 50 press ups, the veins on his arms bulging pleasingly. He’s always prided himself on having the best guns in cabinet.

Raab strips off and wanders naked towards the bathroom. There’s nothing he likes more than an ice-cold shower. As the water pounds his body, he checks for tell-tale signs. Sure enough, there are traces of blood under his finger nails. He must have been on another killing spree the night before. The anger management course really is proving worse than useless. He tries to remember where he had been so he could retrace his steps and remove the evidence, but his mind is a blank. More bodies to add to the cold case count. Just as well the police now only investigate crimes that have yet to be committed. Psycho Killer. Qu’est-ce que c’est?"

Quick hat-tip to Falkirk Council.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-59734937

Quote

Under the deal, the 11 projects will be able to use a total of £80m investment from the UK and Scottish governments, £45m from Falkirk Council and £5.8m from Scottish Canals to create an investment zone for Falkirk and Grangemouth.

I had no idea the council had this much down the back of the sofa. Especially when you consider the residents of The Braes, residents shoved into fuel poverty by Falkirk Council https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/council-hq-demo-planned-over-extortionate-heating-bills-from-green-energy-product-3357410

Quote

Last June, they were told that Falkirk Council had set aside £5 million to install mains gas.

However, a year later, the council announced the quote for the work was higher than expected and needed more investigation.

So no cash to fix their own mistake and get many of their poorest residents out of fuel poverty, but 45 million quid to fling at an arts centre and the oil refinery?

It's unbelievable how many people in the public eye don't bother getting their social media history forensically checked or just deleted.

Yet people so naive or stupid that they can't even manage their online profile, apparently are so good and intelligent they should be PM
