As a replacement for the HoL, this is an excellent idea

Already the case in the USA.  Each state gets two senators whether it is California with nearly 40 million people or Wyoming with less than 600,000.

One of the reasons why there are two Dakotas.

So it can be a minority rule in the senate?

The Americans aren't the only ones who do daft things, (although there are also two Carolinas).

It must have been one hell of a bevvy session the night Australia decided that what the world really needed was another South Wales.

They spoke Welsh.

There should be a New Llareggrub in Australia IMHO.

Have you seen some of their place names? The Aussies would have no problem whatsoever with a settlement called New Buggerall!

"Many experts maintain that the government is more worried about appearing tough than saving the lives of people who use drugs"

This is shocking news. Say it ain't so.

This is not shocking or even New.

It's been obvious for years. The strange thing is that public opinion isn't anywhere near the Tory stance. f**k knows why they stick with the war on drugs pish.

Gotta have an ENEMY to fight. If you build an enemy, they will come.

They could pick a better enemy though. You'd think that the Tories would see the money making opportunities and get right behind the legalisation.

Maybe none of their donors are involved in the industry so it's not worth their time.
