They'd happily tank into everyone else for being 'soft', though. c***s. People will still vote for them because they're tough on crime.

An entire nation getting gaslighted before our eyes.

Why would banning private schools be for the greater good?
Edit:  We couldn't afford private education but we were lucky.  Bucks CC still has state grammar schools - places that value education above political nonsense.
Grammar schools favour those in the middle classes who are prepared to pay (or cheat) their way to a place - thank f**k we don't have them here.

Pinholing children at the age of 11 is crazy in any case - even ignoring the class imbalance - way too early to be making decisions that could affect the rest of their lives.

Boris won the debate! He pointed out Corbyn's historical support for the IRA, which Jeremy didn't even bother to dispute, and the absurdity of his plan to negotiate a Brexit deal, despite his party not wanting Brexit, and then having another referendum. People have had enough of Brexit, they don't want to hear about it anymore and just want a resolution. I don't think Corbyn will really appeal to the traditional Labour voters in the north of England, so fingers crossed we should get a Tory government.

Aye, just click yer ruby slippers 3 times and it will all be gone.  it's not even started yet, Even the tory poster boy JRM said it will hit for decades. It's a hard Brexit incoming there is no way the EU are going to give the UK a great deal in under a years time, why should they? The US will not offer us a great deal either as they watch us go full meltdown on WTO terms. All this to stop the rich getting scrutinized on their taxes. Don't worry though we need you fighting fit for our 1 nation tory overlords to work you into a grave before you can retire at 75.

Has the Malky3 account been binned or something?

As far as you're concerned a 'PISA test' is evaluating Domino's vs Papa John's.  Let's face it, mate, you're as thick as pig shit.

As for grammar schools being the answer?  They are a part of it, for sure.  Not the whole solution by any measure but certainly an important piece of the jigsaw.

I actually feel sorry for you. That must have sounded witty or intelligent in your head. I was going to say something about you being a monumentally thick, gin soaked jakey who has utterly failed at everything in life but I don't have the heart.

If insults and using racist symbols to bait make you feel better about your inadequacies and offline failures, crack on.

Reading the report makes it clear it's not just as simple as your synopsis indicates.

Nick Robinson was outed as a total c**t during the yes campaign. No surprises that he’s still a c**t and is a Tory.

Didn’t see the debate but from what I’m reading it’s a bit of a flop from Corbyn. Hopefully if anything it strengthens the SNP vote up here, Nicola has been untouchable during the debates.

Won’t fare well for the Labour vote down south though.

Didn't watch it either but I'm reading it as a no score draw, which benefits Johnson if the polls stay the same. Don't think these debates have much impact anyway.

I've already retired, and I have enough investments and properties to ensure it will be a very comfortable retirement. Besides, Boris' deal is oven ready.

Be under no illusions friend, no-one, yourself included, will benefit from Brexit - the polar opposite. Johnson will get the keys to number 10 because enough people like you are 'bored' with Brexit and don't have the intellectual depth or attention span to appreciate the full implications.

In the event, they are buying into a charlatan begging them to allow him to amputate their legs on the grounds that they'll soon be running around. Fucking liar conning fucking idiots.

Don't fret, son! Brexit will be fine. We managed quite well before we were conned into joining the Common Market which morphed into a political Union and the loss of our sovereignty. We once had an Empire you know, upon which the sun never set. Have some fortitude and don't let Fritz and the garlic-munchers intimidate you! Stand up and be counted and let's stick it to them. God save the Queen!

In a letter to The Times INET Oxford researchers Professor Sir David Hendry, Professor Doyne Farmer, and Dr Max Roser look at how the UK economy has performed since joining the EU.

Sir, Boris Johnson recently asserted that the “EU is a graveyard of low growth”. This claim merits proper examination to determine, precisely, how the UK, US, Germany and France have done since 1973, the year in which the UK joined the EU. Per capita GDP of the UK economy grew by 103%, exceeding the 97% growth of the US. Within the EU, the UK edged out Germany (99%) and clobbered France (74%).

The UK’s growth has exceeded the US while tracking it, even since the crisis of 2008. This makes it hard to argue that the EU is dragging the UK down. Alternatively, compare this to the UK’s performance during the “glory days” of the Empire from 1872 to 1914. Back then Britain’s per capita growth was only 0.9% per year, in contrast to its robust 2.1% since joining the EU.

An important bonus is that the benefits of growth in Britain have been divided much more fairly than in the US. Statistics compiled by the Institute for New Economic Thinking show that Since 1974, median income in the UK grew by 79%, in contrast to 16% for the US. Thus, Britain has had the best of both worlds while a member of the EU -- not just strong growth, but more equal growth.

As the UK economy has grown, it has become more dependent on trade. Since 1973 the ratio of trade to economic output increased from 48% to 67%. At present 45% of the UK’s exports go to other EU member countries. In response to the concern that the EU might impose high tariffs or punitive measures if the UK leaves, some Brexiteers have said that we can “just trade with Australia and Canada”. These two countries, however, only account for a meagre 2.9% of British exports.

History is clear: things have gone very well for Britain as a member of the EU.

The following three visualisations illustrate our main points:

Firstly, since the year the UK joined the EU GDP per capita in the UK has grown faster than in the two other big EU economies France and Germany and also exceeded growth in the USA.

Secondly, growth in the UK was more equally shared than in the USA: Since 1974, median income in the UK grew by 79%, in contrast to 16% for the US. This is what research by INET researchers Professor Brian Nolan, Dr Stefan Thewissen and Dr Max Roser shows.

Thirdly, the EU is hugely important as a trading partner of the UK. The UK sells 45% of its exports to other EU member countries.

Whichever one of you is responsible for this, it's really boring and nowhere near as funny as you think it is.
