Half the Labour MPs are worried about a GE and Corbyn as PM. So down here in Englandshire nothing's likely to change until Corbyn dies?

Guest
Good to see that Hammond and his cronies are looking after the most vulnerable in society such as the high earners. Yes, Austerity is indeed over if you're in the higher tax bracket (that's if you can actually be bothered paying it at all)....................

Unless you live in Scotland where you’re punished for being a higher earner, although it can almost be completely offset by increasing the AVC on my final salary pension. Every cloud and all that
ICTJohnboy
Debate on the budget gets underway at 12.30pm and will be shown live on the Parliament channel. Could be quite lively.

Every cloud and all that Yes, the major discomfort of maybe having to downgrade your fillet steak to a sirloin on your weekly visit to Miller & Carter as opposed to choosing between feeding your kids or heating the house. Anyway, I thought you Celtic fans were supposed to be socialist leaning as opposed to self centred fascists ??

Impinging on my lifestyle won’t make a material difference to anybody else’s circumstances. At least I’ll have the bragging rights with my southern colleagues when we’re comparing pension pots

Do you think schools, police and the NHS need additional funding? If you do I'd be interested to see your solution. I've recently entered the first tax bracket that will see me pay a little bit more than down south but I'm happy enough that I know why and that people on lower incomes will pay a wee bit less to help them not have to rely on benefits in the first place. Seems like how a fair society works. Problem is too many people are interested in their own pocket above all else, and bothering about how much the poor in society take from the government that they believe they don't deserve to have. Instead of looking to the very richest who don't pay their way even though they have the means to. Edited October 30, 2018 by GiGi

Forced? You could always move down south to live in your tax haven, high earning tory utopia. Not sure who will empty your bins, keep your streets clean or serve you in a restaurant, when they all move up to good old Scotland for a fairer income though.

The really sad part here, is that someone with this level of intellect is allegedly earning £50k+

I'd be demanding £100K+ at least. Considering waistcoats such as yourself can earn a whopping 12% of that these days.

Half a chance and I’d be off like a shot, but I’ll be hanging around long enough that the kids get the benefit of the free education that I’m being robbed from to provide for others. -

So you're happy for the kids to take advantage of the free education, you're just not happy to be a contributor towards it? Spoken like a true a̶s̶s̶h̶o̶l̶e̶ tory......... no, asshole.
