He did last season, but apparently retired now.

Heard of a few French players playing in these French overseas departments. Ex-ICT defender Lionel Djebi-Zadi did it, although I think Pongolle is actually from Reunion.

Even if he was playing Florent Sinama Pongolle was Ligue 2 quality at best in his peak years

The draw for the round of 32 of the Coupe de France took place on the 6th and it brought out some interesting ties.

JS St.-Pierroise's reward for winning at second tier Niort is a trip to 4th tier Epinal, certainly have a chance of winning that.

PSG are away to Lorient, Bordeaux travel to third tier Pau, Marseille are at Granville, Lille travel to fifth tier Gonfreville, Strasbourg face Angouleme and Angers travel to Rouen, who will fancy putting another Ligue 1 side on their arse,

There are two all Ligue 1 ties as Dijon host Nimes and Nantes host Lyon while there is an all-fifth tier tie between Prix-le-Mesiers and Limonest.

Full draw: (Level of Division)

Pau (3) v Bordeaux (1)
Granville (4) v Marseille (1)
Epinal (4) v St. Pierroise (Reu)
Red Star (3) v Nice (1)
Prix-le-Mesiers (5) v Limonest (5)
Gonfreville (5) v Lille (1)
Belfort (4) v Nancy (2)
Paris FC (2) v Saint-Etienne (1)
Angouleme (4) v Strasbourg (1)
Nantes (1) v Lyon (1)
Rouen (4) v Angers (1)
Athletico Marseille (5) v Rennes (1)
Montpellier (1) v Caen (2)
Dijon (1) v Nimes (1)
Lorient (2) v PSG (1)
Saint-Pryve Saint-Hilaire (4) v Monaco (1)

Wow, 3-3 all now.  Looked like a clear offside in the Monaco goal but VAR deemed the touch by a PSG player meant it wasn't

Switched over after copa del ray final to see Neymar hit the penalty then turned back just before Monaco equalised to watch last of Roma Juve ffs.

ASM Belfort (4j will meet Montpellier and SAS Épinal (4) knocked out the team from Réunion and are at home to Lille next. The other 4 games are all between Ligue 1 sides.

Two shocks in last 16 as 4th tier ASM Belfort beat Montpellier 5-4 on penalties whilst SAS Épinal also of the 4th tier beat Ligue 1 Lille 2-1. The lowest ranked team FC Limonest of the 5th tier bid au revoir going to Ligue 1 Dijon 2-1 thanks to a winner in the last minute of extra time.

PSG declared champions. Absolutely deserved after such a remarkable and wonderful season. Against all odds - a true underdog story!

Rennes get Champion's League football for the first time ever, as do Marseille. Amiens and Toulouse relegated. Lorient and Lens promoted. Still to decide Europa League spots.

Lyon chairman trying to argue that European places should be decided based on last season's final table where they finished third. They are currently 7th. The Lord loves a trier I suppose.

was it points average or placings when league stopped?
