Black and White Tragic
Motherwell "cutting budgets". Sounds like they may think that Faiss will come cheap? Anyone know what the numbers are liable to be?

Shandon Par
Don't think Motherwell are doing much different to what we are doing with some of the guys (eg Moff, maybe Falky). They were on contracts issued by JJ. AJ may well be happy to keep them on but only at what he sees as their market worth. Might seem harsh offering a pay cut after a successful season but the manager has to spend every penny wisely.
Poet of the Macabre
We're not a bigger club than Motherwell. Faissal would be daft to turn them down.
Aberdeen Cowden
We're not a bigger club than Motherwell. Faissal would be daft to turn them down. Maybe, but they aren't paying that much. Good luck to him wherever he goes. Still think Dunfermline should do what they can to hold on to him. A decent season in the championship and he'll be worth big bucks. A decent season in the championship and he'll be worth big bucks. Pretty obvious that we are trying to do that. There's almost zero chance that it'll happen and if teams like Motherwell, Aberdeen etc are keen to sign him we don't stand a chance.
Black and White Tragic
Not everyone is motivated by money. Who would want to live and work in Motherwell? Quality of life is better in Fife.

Pars fan
He's been A hero for us this year but lets not get hung up over him. The chances are, he'll go to a bigger club and shine but that's all good - he did his bit for us. He's certainly not of the same calibre as others we've had in recent times ( Andy Kirk, Crawford, Brewster and the like. . . ) We'll survive just fine. If however though, by some miracle, he does sign up then, ooaft - he'll be set for life and we'll get a good bonus for our champions league assault. Ira Gaines
A top flight mainstay would be a good choice for him, big club, wee club or middle club. Really doesn't matter.

Pars fan
He's been a far better player for us than Andy Kirk. I would have to disagree with that. Granted, his potential is miles better than Kirks but he's not matched old Kirky yet.

Poet of the Macabre
Ps : For the record, "El Bacteria" isn't a bad shout. In what way? There's no way anyone honestly thinks it's funny surely? Also, very unfair to compare Faiss with Kirk. Different type of player, different standard of opponents and a regular in the first team for different lengths of time. Shandon Par
Decent player though he was, I don't think Kirk ever caused as much delirious pant-wetting as the wee magician. Moments like his hattrick against Brechin and the goals against Ross Country and Dundee are no less special to me just because we're in the third tier when he scored them. Poet of the Macabre
Kirk managed double figures in that dreadful SPL season. That's far more magical tbh.
DA Baracus
Fais has had a better single season than Kirk ever managed, but overall Kirk contributed more, given that he was here for multiple season. But as said above, it's a silly comparison.

No, you're right - "El Bacteria" isn't very funny but it's better than most of the recent retorts. As for Kirk, he's done plenty to surpass young, Faissal, also at a higher level.
