Faissal Transfer

Recommended Posts

I don't understand this sense of entitlement or ownership over Faissal. We paid him to do a job, which he did. He absolutely ran riot last year, said he was off to look at his options but wouldn't rule us out. None of this has changed. Good for him if he wanted to moan about not getting longer in the last game. It's that sense of confidence and determination that saw him develop from a kid who thought he'd spend his days working in the family butcher shop into someone with a genuine chance of earning a few quid from playing football.

If AJ can uncover another surly, bloody minded 30 goal a season striker who sees us as no more that a stepping stone to better things I'll be perfectly happy if it means witnessing the sort of goals wee Faiss knocked in last year. Moaning about Faiss not doing this or that off the park is painful reading, akin to Facebook fishwives moaning at each other over who never got invited to what kid's party etc.

Maybe the record books could put an asterisk against his 30 goals to denote that some fans were upset because he didn't do exactly what they wanted when they wanted? You could see he wasn't comfortable having a mic or camera shoved in front of him and having to speak his best English but was totally at ease with the other players. I say just leave the boy alone, don't be pissed at him for not showing up for this or that and rejoice that he made football enjoyable after a few seasons of torture.

Some aspects of supporting a club see some fans expecting some level of loyalty if its been put the players way. Fais was given a chance by us and the bottom line is he chose to act like a dickhead after his good season. Went to the media after he got the last 20 minutes or so and didn't get the full game. Yeah his family were over but so what. He chose not to turn up at the POTY event and hasn't collected his winners medal. Question for me is who the f**k does he think he is.

Do you ignore loyalty over petulance? ....yeah because we're football supporters and we've all got fanny stamped our heads.

At least you've taken it well.

United bound, apparently.

Yeah, I'm sure he ended his trial at English Championship side Blackburn, after just 2 days, because the mighty Dundee United in the Scottish Championship offered him a deal... No idea what people get out of making up this rubbish. He may end up signing for Dundee United, but there's no way he would agree this deal within days of starting a trial period with Blackburn.

Don't think he's ready for Blackburn. However, he's maybe hoping to showcase his talents against some of their upcoming friendly opponents - Bury/Morecambe, Rochdale, Blackpool & Notts County all have upcoming friendlies against Blackburn. He might have gone for this trial, to put himself on the radar of English clubs, as he hopes to build a career down south.

McKinnon confirmed he had offered a striker a contract who he think is an exceptional player.

Random fact of the day: I mind McKinnon almost exploding with excitement when he signed Jon Daly for us...

McKinnon confirmed he had offered a striker a contract who he think is an exceptional player. He's been showing him around, and hopes to hear back from him by Sunday.

So people are guessing it's faissal

Probably the boy thats touting for a contract on the league 2 forum.

Was at the Lizzie supporters curry night in the Royal Bengal tonight and both the players and the lads are buzzing for the new season.

Fais is a dim and distant memory given the chat tonight among the supporters who attended.

You would a Think we were discussing Lionel messi here. He is a wee poor advised money grabber who has no loyalty to the pars and thinks far too Much of himself....he scored 30 goals against fishermen and postmen...well done. ...P.s his 90s curtain haircut was f#ckin ridiculous looking #goodbyecurtainheidedtwat

Lemon and Lime flakes for your breakfast given the level of bitterness here.
