He doesn't take any shite off the right wing, Tory media (every mainstream media outlet) and knows before the interview starts that they're going to ask him a load of shite, like why he's killing veterans as they can't get the train to their veteran's coffee morning in the next village.

Having watched all the clips of Mr Lynch put on here today it becomes very apparent how poor the opposition are in the commons.

In the same week Johnson is pushing through measures to relax salary caps on executives, ordinary workers are being accused of fueling inflation. This is the sort of nonsense any semi competent Labour party would be having a field day with.

It is the managers running the signal boxes. Trains getting wrong routed happens all the time (not as often as that list shows) but the drivers route knowledge should stop anything bad happening

Was honestly thinking the same. Labour needs someone exactly like that who will call out Tory bullshit. Not a fucking Knight of the Realm ffs.

Indeed. The first month of driver training is learning to push the start and stop buttons correctly. Once you've mastered that part you go on to signalling and route knowledge to prevent such a thing happening.

I'm all for slagging off new Labour, but they at least had a few figures like Prescott who would state the obvious, and Brown who was masterful at digging up the Tories. Current Westminster has so few characters or seemingly genuine figures today, and for me the whole system suffers for it.

I'm not sure either of them came out of that exchange with much glory.

On the contrary. He came out of it clearly looking better.

Everyone knew what Kay Burley was suggesting. Mick Lynch knew what Kay Burley was suggesting but actually failing to ask.

The fact that he was almost trying to coax her into directly asking 'If anyone crosses the picket line, will you resort to violence?' rather than in such an overtly suggestive *nudge nudge wink wink* way is testament to the fact that he's a savvy guy and isn't into playing these daft games with journalists.

You've got to be careful what you believe in the papers but this does give an interesting insight into things from Network Rail's perspective.

If there is any truth in this and it's a big "if", then this is just ridiculous.

Archaic rail rules mean it takes nine workers to 'change a plug socket' (msn.com)

If true, diabolical!!

Maybe the Queens guy could elaborate on this?

Given it's from an anonymous source in the Telegraph it's odd on to be exaggerated at a minimum.
