Think the goal was chopped off was because a Meadow player was in a offside position when the cross came in and although he didn't touch it, he still made a movement towards the ball which is enough to be offside, a bit harsh though.

Agree with most, the Rose were mince and clearly had their minds on Forfar game.

Meadow 9 was standing offside before the delivery of the free kick, he then ran towards the ball and in front of spade therefore making him "active" and rightly flagged for offside.

Ironically, had he not moved it might still have skimmed off spade and stood..... fortunate but correct decision.

Would have taken a replay before kick off but rather disappointed with just a draw as really feel the disallowed goal from the free kick should have stood and Linlithgow likely won't be as poor next week. We done really well and players all gave 100% for the new management team and fought for every ball.

Attendance was 733. Massive game for both teams next week. Looking forward to it!

Was behind the goals and personally I didn't see anything wrong with the goal - but your number 9 was closest to the goals as the kick was about to be taken. A very close call both ways - obviously the assistant was in line so have to go with his view.

Was impressed with the endeavour shown by Meadow as know they have not been great this season. Robust in the tackle and committed and agree they gave their all for the cause.

Easy to say we didn't play well but that's maybe because Meadow didn't allow us to play well. Delighted to have taken a draw

troon's twitter said the ayrshire company was filming their game at Darvel but know they had been covering two games at a time previously so here's hoping

Nah they weren't covering our game yesterday. Already asked if they will cover the replay.

I thought Linlithgow Rose filmed all their games and seen a few on youtube this season so hopefully will have highlights.

Just watched the video of the goal back and there is a Meadow player standing directly in front of and no more than a couple of feet from the keeper in an offside position as the ball comes across. His purpose is either to get something on the ball and/or have the keeper second guess whether he will or won't. Definite interference in the outcome and the right decision by the assistant. Doesn't make up for a really lacklustre second half from us although the ball across goal late on from Baptie was screaming to be put into the net when Kelbie doesn't quite get there.

If only Grant Bolton had buried that chance in the dying minutes :(

Surprised at the low attendance compared with the Forfar game. Why was that? Do the folk of Linlithgow not care about the bread and butter or did Forfar bring 2000 travelling fans?

Meadow were always going to be up for this game as you would expect with a new management team almost coming away with a victory by all accounts.

Linlithgow would also be up for the game but it's not so easy to keep that up when you are fighting on two fronts.it takes its toll on players, staff and fans.don't expect many folk to get what am saying but that is generally the way it goes.

And it's all to be done again this week.tough shout on the next outcome.

I asked myself a similar question. Forfar game was played when a lot of local games were hit by the weather - but there were also a lot of Linlithgow people who don't regularly go in attendance also.

Felt the whole game on Saturday was flat and it does worry me that just maybe peoples thoughts attentions were on Forfar rather than Irvine - Hopefully that wasn't the case.

More worrying that is only our 2nd game since December in our own league/cup set up.

What's worrying about it AH? We had a 2 week shutdown for Christmas. We played on the 12th and 19th of December and then opted or couldn't play on the 26th or 2nd January. We did well to play on the 9th in the Scottish, hardly a soul played on the 16th and we played on the 23rd. Do you want us in the Scottish Cup or not?

Most other teams would love to have our "problems". You can't have everything until or unless this grade embraces midweek football. And there's no chance of that.

It was a right good chance. We hardly created a sniff in the second half but I don't recall you guys doing much at the business end either. Thought Meadow worked harder though.
