I really don't get this, I do though love how one of the 5 main aims they have, is to get a Union Jack flown on every Scottish government building.

Think they've since went defunct.

Don't do walking away..........

Nudging out the SNP and managing to split the Tory vote!? emoji47.png

Found this an interesting read:

Zero chance of it happening in terms of practical politics but an intelligent analysis of what needs to be done to prevent devolution being Tam Dayell's motorway with no exits to independence, which has probably been slowed down considerably by Brexit but is still highly likely in another generation or so once the generation born in the Empire's twilight are no longer around. There's a niche for an anti-Holyrood Unionist party in the aftermath of the 2014 Referendum and they might be able to start to threaten the 5.5% or so threshold to winning a seat on the regional list if they can avoid any direct Rangers/NI/Orange Order sort of baggage and can scoop up a middle class UKIP sort of votes along with the working class Harthill one that probably drove that by election result. Think they would steer clear of splitting the pro-Union vote on the constituency side of things.

Interesting stuff and a thoughtful piece.
A modern incorporating Union that sits within the EU would have been the choice of most No voters (2014) imho and experience. Regretfully that Ship has sailed, giving further leverage to separatists in Scotland and Nationalists/Republicans in Northern Ireland. An outcome that wasn't so hard to predict and one seemingly ignored by those who were determined to dive headfirst into supporting Brexit.

The tories are the biggest anti Holyrood unionist party. The statements in the last few months by the likes of Annie Wells, Murdo Fraser and others, confirm that they have no respect or even any regard for the parliament of which they are members. They hate the parliament they are paid £61000 to sit in even though nobody voted for them, and they can't be sacked, thanks to the red tory party

....intelligent analysis.

"Edenborough"

The basic concept of this shitscribe of britnattery, is how do we get Scots to forget they are Scottish.

If this is an "intelligent analysis" of the union.......then its f@cked.

The thing is, these extremists aren’t “unionists”, in that they don’t want a union or anything resembling one. They want to completely expunge any markers of Scottishness and replace it with Britishness. They absolutely deplore Scotland as anything more than a region of the Anglocentric country they love. They are disgusted by any whiff of Scottish nationhood, whether it’s a parliament, a vote, or a voice in the world.

The irony is that very few people in England, from what I’ve seen, give a flying f**k about them.
