LongTimeLurker
Why not just vote for the Conservatives. Think the only niche that's left for a party like this is to have the abolition of Holyrood as the core policy, but I think that's already UKIP's gimmick this time around? I'm not really sure what they're hoping for here. To be fair, I imagine they could maybe attract a decent amount of the hardcore Unionist OO vote in Greater Glasgow...? Could be interesting. Every Holyrood election a new bunch of these dicks turn up or threaten to and every time barely register.
Alan Stubbs
Seeing as Scotland is so passionately British (source: every Unionist on P&B), an electoral vehicle for the British patriot majority seems like a really good idea. Not sure about another Party though. Surely a wee wheel graphic on Microsoft Paint would do the bizzo.
Glenconner
Ukip, the BNP/NF and the Scottish Unionist Party won't be happy bunnies with another far right/fleg waving group crowding the scene. Still anything that shreds the unionist vote..........
Glenconner
No it won't be. There is no hardcore unionist OO vote. The Labour Party seems to think so. SLAB are always chatting away to the Grand Wizards.
glasgow-sheep
ABBUP, which is described as an ‘anti-austerity’ party, is also supporting the campaign for local autonomy in Orkney, Shetland and the Hebrides As well as campaigning for greater union and a reversal of devolution they want this? Antlion
As well as campaigning for greater union and a reversal of devolution they want this? Lol what? Is "greater union" what they consider the attractive term for "less Scotland, more Britain" or "less Edinburgh, more London"?

Glenconner
I wonder how long it would take to find out it's the same old same old rightwingers that have been around for years. They have had a couple of major right wing successes recently. The Referendum obviously. That rocket winning a seat for Ukip in the European Elections. And oh the Tories winning at Westminster
Ross.
Why does the "Nationalist" label only get pinned on pro independence thought? The pro Union parties are as fervently nationalist as the SNP, they just support a different nationalism.
Antlion
Why does the "Nationalist" label only get pinned on pro independence thought? The pro Union parties are as fervently nationalist as the SNP, they just support a different nationalism. Idiocy, mainly. It genuinely doesn't seem to occur to many of the hand-wringing, "nationalism is a terrible, divisive, dangerous evil" lot to question their blind adherence to one of the historically most jingoistic, nationalistic, colonialist nation states on earth. I'm sure someone has the cartoon of the little guy decked out in Union Jack-emblazoned paraphernalia shouting "bloody nationalists" at guys wearing saltire, Welsh flag and St George's cross t-shirts. Absolutely correct, it was always fascinating during the referendum to watch Labour activists proclaim their loathing of borders, our similarity to workers in Manchester and Liverpool and exult their socialist spirit of internationalism..... which curiously always stops at the white cliffs of Dover.
