Wish I had 1 a few years ago when I hit a guys car.

He was a few seconds ahead of me going down a hill.

He pulled over into the left and for all the world looked parked up.

I was passing him when he suddenly turned out the space and towards a right turn.

I hit him side on.

1st thing he told me getting out was that he was fine.

I didn't ask but he told me anyway.

A few months later the Insurance tells me he's put in a claim for whiplash and blames me 100% for the incident.

I told the insurance what happened and they recommend I agree to 50/50.

I asked what I had done wrong here?

The guy on the phone said when he pulled over I should have gave him more time to make sure he was parking and not gonnae shoot out into a right turn.

RAGING!!!!

So remember people, if someone pulls in ahead of you you've to stop..get out yer car and ask them to clarify they've actually stopped.

Don't assume anything.

Reads like an Eminem track or something. Reading it like he's rapping it in my head.

Whether Gav's story is the truth or complete and utter pish, I like the part where he forgets to not come across as a completely heartless, inconsiderate w**ker

It was weird.

I got out after parking up where he had been and crossed over to him.

He got out and without a word being said told me he was ok.

It was almost as if I'd asked.

Come to think of it at no time was he aware of my condition.

I would recommend a camera, and I finally got one at Xmas. If somebody hits you and there's no witnesses than its your word against his*, unless they run directly into the back of your car, then they've no defence on that one.

*speaking from experience.

One actual clip (that made what news, the Dupla Pumpherston Tannery Star?) and a description (like what would happen before video) of something that might not even have happened is a pretty poor show thus far.

Halfords sells these by the thousand each week so there must be lots of motors running around with them.

Surely if you don't have your own clips you can find some out there on yon Internet, and claim that they're yours, a bit like Gaz but with pictures...

I've seen a few of the videos folk uploaded.

Mostly it's just people cutting up folk and pulling out of junctions before realising they have to stop.

All these dash cams is gonnae lead to folk uploading every driving mistake they see every time they go out.

Not exactly the purpose they were built for.

The 1st dash cam video I seen was a Russian 1.

Seems they had a problem with folk engineering claims for the compo.

Some quality vids there.

Seen a few in Britain wi drivers cutting up lorries and trying to get the lorry to rear end them.

The road really is populated by arseholes
