killiefan27
Can only agree about The Teacher's Pet. Listening to series 2 of Slow Burn now. First, about Watergate, was excellent.

I listened to the first 7 episodes yesterday while working. A brilliant podcast, which is even better once you know the outcome of the whole thing. I bet there are a few teachers from a few schools in Sydney that are shitting it after some of the things that have been brought out...

Yeah, although maybe they don’t even realise they’ve done anything wrong. One of the guys interviewed related that an offending teacher didn’t even realise that he wasn’t invited to reunions because he was a massive nonce.I find some of it hard to listen to, the bit about him telling his daughters that Lyn wasn’t their real mum is just awful.

Cracking production and music, great accents and interviews with wise guys (offer 70 somethings who have spent the last few decades in jail). It's basically just mafia crime tales from Rhode Islamd with interviews with the main protagonists interspersed with candid interviews and decent music. 38 minutes ago, ICTChris said: I'm now listening to CrimeTown about the history of crime in Providence. Keeping checking my phone for new episodes. 2nd series started with a bang. Some much nastier characters.

Buddy Cianci runs on an "end corruption" ticket and then has to give a mob enforcer a job as Maintenance Officer for the city council nbecause he won him the election

The theme tune gets played on 6 Music now and again too.

Highland Capital
There's a good bonus podcast at the end of Crimetown about 'Buddy Cianci - The Musical'. It's a good listen. "I'm your buddy!.....Providence!"
ICTChris
Makes me sad that we live in a country with such a poor standard of political corruption. Only Tommy Sheridan really comes close and he didn’t try to blind his best friend for having sex with his wife.I see season 2 has episodes about Kwame Kirkpatrick, another top level corrupt politician.
