Hibs v Queens

Where's the sportsmanship from Hutton when he pretended to be hurt from a ball that hit him at 5 mph from 2 foot away?

Well done to Hibs getting the winner, but I had to laugh at Feruz's reaction to the goal... showing him to be as selfish as his critics suggest. While his teammates wheel away in celebration, he looks uninterested and gutted that it wasn't him putting the ball away.

Lazy player.

This, having seen the incident. When McGinn dived at TFS earlier this season, shortly afterwards Hibs had a player down injured and instead of booting the ball back to Oxley -we punted it right down in to the corner in the Hibs half and pressed the throw in. Do unto others and all that.

Maybe in normal circumstances, but not when you are going to be disadvantaged by being a man down. You're still giving the ball back, but making sure you still have 11 men on the pitch. I don't see any issue with that and would think any manager in the country would expect their players to do that in the circumstances.

Yeah, fair point.

Rangers fan level of whataboutery there.

He got hit full in the face. I think its safe to say it hurt. He made the most of it as 99% of players would. Is it the same as playing on from a drop ball? No.

Having said that, I dont think theres been a lot of criticism of the Hibs players particularly. The issue stems from Colvins appalling handling of it

In terms of sportsmanship it kind of is the same really. Finding it hard to believe that people don't think the team's course of action was the right thing to do when we think about the bigger picture and how important the extra 2 points are.

Win at all costs, wish we'd take a leaf out of hibs book and play a bit smarter.

Hearts done it last season and its why ibs will win the league this season.

While there may well be an issue with Colvin's usual, incompetent handling of the situation, all Hibs won was possession at a different part of their own half then before the break in play. Playing on from that position should absolutely be expected, much in the same way that if Colvin awarded a ridiculous foul, the beneficiary at no point gifts the ball back to the opponent to compensate. Indeed, Yoss's hail to the Corinthian values of sport flies in the face of the non-award of a probable foul in the build-up to his own side's equaliser on Friday evening. Raith didn't and of course shouldn't have waited on the officials to make the decision for them, and took advantage on the park. That's how the game has always worked, and a serious reality check is required by some on here.

The undoubted highlight of the thread has to be SD's return to form in claiming that it was a "robbery". This is, of course, the same poster who spent quite some time constructing a forensic, still footage analysis to 'prove' that a Morton midfielder was committing a grave crime by, erm, tieing his shoelaces in the Queens' half at a restart, fifteen minutes into a match that Morton already led 2-0. It's been a while since he let his mask slip again, but it's always delicious, tear-sprayed viewing when it happens.

While welcome news, let's also spare a thought please for all the wifeys of embittered Sevconians currently 'walking into doors' up and down the country, at this time of year as well. :( :( :(

Was out at Silverburn Christmas shopping and seen 2 women with black eyes.

I'm not saying they're married to sevco fans but they probably are

Alan Stubbs is a fucking gobshite  "In the middle of the two players, their man hasn't made an attempt for it". No Alan, that isn't what happened at all. Not even close.

Erm no, it's all part of the same incident. Hutton's attempt at cheating creates the drop ball situation, of course we're going to go straight up the pitch and try to score.

Colvin does f**k it up but I have no sympathy for Queens. Anyway it's hardly a penalty or ref card we're talking about. "Robbed" by a drop ball 90 yards up the pitch, give us a break.

Going by Feruz's (lack of) celebration will he be going back to Chelsea in January. Boy seems to have a shocking attitude.

Probably. Now that Anier is getting involved, I make him 6th in the pecking order. If Farid gets fit, 7th.

Could do with trimming the numbers down, especially if he's playing silly buggers.
