Hedgecutter
I live in Cumbernauld and work in Kinross. I could fucking greet, going to be absolute misery. You'll be travelling the opposite way to all this traffic, no? Eta: Or is the Kincardine bridge being turned into a one-way dual carriageway or whatever, still leaving the Clackmannan open for you? Pull My Strings
I hope all these drivers set off 2 hours earlier whilst the bridge is shut. I set off an hour earlier today. A journey which usually takes somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour took two and a half hours. Apparently the bridge might be shut until the new year. Or longer .. What fun.

Gaz
What part of the bridge is causing concern? The bit that goes over the water.
Gaz
I live in Cumbernauld and work in Kinross. I could fucking greet, going to be absolute misery. Wouldn't you just normally go the Kincardine way anyway? Up the A977?

The Master
Transport Scotland Tweeting about high winds on the Skye bridge merely restricting traffic in both directions.
gavin_3110
Wouldn't you just normally go the Kincardine way anyway? Up the A977? Yeah, I go that way then over the Clackmannan Bridge but with all the additional traffic on that road it's going to be a mire. Been doing the same commute for a few years, have seen it when the FRB is shut as a one off taking me nearly two hours to get back, even when closed to high sided vehicles it has a knock on effect. Not looking forward to it.
jamamafegan
They'll need to get on the phone to Calmac and send a ferry down!
ICTJohnboy
Wouldn't you just normally go the Kincardine way anyway? Up the A977? I would have thought so, but the sheer volume of extra traffic will presumably create further problems. In fact will the Kincardine Bridge cope with extra strain?
Eoin
Wouldn't be getting these sort of problems with a dece bridge like the tay

strichener
It will probably be quicker extending the tram line to Inverkeithing. Expect the new bridge to open early and the existing one to be closed until them. ETA: I blame Edinburgh Cooncil for their short-sightedness. tree house tam
f**k the fifers ! What about the Perthshire commuters ? I'd rather take a chance on it falling down while I'm on it than going either the Kincardine or Stirling way.
