Carl Cort's Hamstring
He wanted to bomb Assad two years ago. Why are we attacking IS in Iraq then? Edited December 2, 2015 by Carl Cort's Hamstring

Mr Bairn
He wanted to bomb Assad two years ago. And this means he doesn't want to bomb ISIL now?
Mr Rational
Cameron is interested in showcasing Raytheon bombs which will raise their share price, he then gets funded by them and the Tories have a war chest for the next election. It is how the business works.

F_T_Y
Why would he switch sides within two years, russia only got involved to help Assad. Cameron want's to do the opposite. They attacks in paris were carried out by French citizens, nothing to do with Syria. If some religious fanatic wants to open up in a public place with a machine gun there really is not much you can do about it. Some bombs being dropped on heavily populated area's will only lead to more refugees trying to escape.
ICTJohnboy
First chance for Corbyn to show strong leadership and he has failed, Looks like labour will help the tories out to get this bill passed. The spineless Lib dems lining up to vote for it aswell. Including Alistair Carmichael who shouldn't even be an MP.

The Master
Context is everything. The full quote is: "Tragically, what has happened is that most of the Russian air strikes, as far as we have been able to see so far, have been in parts of Syria not controlled by Isil (IS) but controlled by other opponents to the regime. "So what is happening is that they are backing the butcher Assad, which is a terrible mistake for them and for the world; it's going to make the region more unstable, it will lead to further radicalisation and increased terrorism. "And I would say to them: change direction, join us in attacking Isil but recognise that if we want to have a secure region, we need an alternative leader to Assad. He can't unite the Syrian people."
F_T_Y
Embarrassing, Corbyn should kick out the lot of them and starting forming a decent opposition.
Carl Cort's Hamstring
I think the quality of the debate on this issue from both sides might actually be worse than the referendum.
