throbber
Beer doesn't go well with food at all i don't understand why people think its a good combination as its gassy and fills you up. I would like a glass of wine before a meal then not drink whilst eating then carry on drinking afterwards until i fall asleep.

It's not good if you pay shit loads and want to actually appreciate the flavour you have paid shit loads for this tiny portion of shit or if your on your Xmas night out with a bunch of colleagues who have PhDs in neuroscience and they are drinking wine. throbber
I just don't think it washes down any food well but each to their own. Rather just wash my food down with water and drink before and after. Find that i can't just drink beer now and need a bit of wine to mix it up. Just drinking beer makes me bloated. Gaz FFC
On Friday I set myself up with a great wee spread. Ribs, onion rings and fries washed down with Coors whilst watching St Mirren v Morton. I live well
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
When you're having sex? I recall one occasion whilst entertaining a nice young lady she insisted that I 'break stride' to allow her to take a drink of coke. I likened it to an F1 pit stop. Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Was it a stiff coke? Not fortified in the slightest, just a swig out of the bottle.
AMC13
Only on Saturdays, dinnertimes about 12-1pm, you fucking jake.Out of curiosity who says tea when it's an evening meal And who says dinner for an evening meal. I've always said lunch and dinner and not dinner and tea. I thought people who said tea for an evening meal was an English thing.
MONKMAN
Evening meal is tea. Dinner is your midday/afternoon meal.
