The Story of Pie and Bovril - The Story of All of Us

The BRALT was absolutely immense when the news first broke. The fact it's still going is mental and I'm sure it's awful now, but at the time I was just sitting refreshing the page it was so funny.

I mind a picture of Magee being found on the Gas Safe Register or something, him having a meltdown about it and the picture getting used at every turn for a while.

You also have to include the boy who came on for advice about his trainers scam - was it not yourself who got his bank details? :D

If you say Malmo around her she hides under the bed.

A lot of these suggestions will be added.

I don't want to come across like Addie/Matty too early but I'm away from my laptop for a day or two and fucked if I'm going to be trying to search/update on the app.

The dodgy trainers I didn't want to add as I wasn't really sure if it warranted part of this, trying not to add EVERYTHING straight away. Will get things added bit by bit.

As for the Magee picture.....and I genuinely cannot remember if I made this up or if it happened.....Im sure I made it my profile picture for a couple of days and then Magee started to claim I'd hunted the picture down and brought it on here. That distinction though belongs to another poster.

Tremendous stuff, Div did indeed shat it.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/mumsnet-take-pie-bovril-over-2841710

A GROUP of male football fans took on a women’s forum in a war of words – and lost.

Members of website Pie and Bovril started the row by saying Mumsnet was full of “hairy-legged man-haters”.

But when it came to insults, the women proved they were way ahead of the game.

They hit back with a stream of foul-mouthed tirades against the footie fans, branding them “a crowd of gobsh***s” and renaming the website Pie and B*llocks.

The comments got so offensive that site administrators at Pie and Bovril banned Mumsnet “trolls” from their site.

And bosses on the Scottish football fans’ forum have asked members not to goad the?women again.

Pie and Bovril founder David McDonald told members: “OK guys, think this one has gone far?enough now. If you want to troll Mumsnet for whatever reason, then that’s your own lookout. But please don’t do it in the name of P&B as I don’t want anything to do with it.

“Let’s give it a bye now before it gets serious.”

Some of the 25,000 members of Pie and Bovril thought it would be funny to post fake queries on Mumsnet.

They asked daft questions about “eating mushy peas with placenta”, “my wife’s weight” and “husbands and homemade porn”.

One Pie and Bovril member posed as a mum who was considering sending her son away to live with her wealthy sister – a spoof of the storyline of US hit show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The blokes also posted insults on their own chat forum, branding Mumsnet as “the most twee, sickening, sycophantic bunch of crones in north-western Europe”.

But they were unprepared for the backlash. In a thread that ran to more than 1000 posts, Mumsnet members used language that would turn heads in the stands of any football ground and claimed “real men watch rugby”.

Last night, David claimed the comments that flew back and forth were “just a bit of banter”.

He added: “I spoke to the ladies who run Mumsnet and we both decided to call a halt to the thing.

“When you are running big communities, these things happen from time to time.”

But Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts said: “It’s a fact that the internet massively eases the ability to communicate and an unfortunate by-product is that it allows unpleasant people to communicate more easily too.

“Women all over the web tend to be a target for misogynistic trolling and, of course, Mumsnet – as a predominantly female space – is no exception.”

Have to question whether Mumsnet won. As with most things, I think the Record called it wrong. Mumsnet patter is fucking chronic. Going on the quotes in that article P&B wiped the floor with them.

This thread without Chigsy and his story about Gary Morrison and his family is simply not complete  Also, McKee/McPee's disgrace of a story about how he managed to turn down a girl who wanted her jam roll aff him by pishing himself at a party surely deserves a place on here.

This post may be a bit vague and also may be lacking in accuracy...but

I remember reading a thread about when P&B came together to out a fucker who had ripped one of them off.

There was a facebook page, and a guy who was coming to meet what he thought was a teenage girl. Was a great tale and ended up with a scumbag getting his comeuppance.

Can someone help me out

That would be the Laura Stevenson episode. Think it was StewartyMacB whose wallet was nicked and they brought some deserved social justice to the fucker. Don't have a link just now though.

Guest The Phoenix

Apologies if mentioned already but I would STRONGLY ADVISE that it would be politically incorrect not to vote for Ad Lib being mentioned in dispatches.

Then creepy Enrico comes along and says we should start making profiles of underage girls and chat up guys who he thinks would shag us 'for a laugh'.
I have to apologise to Enrico here, my memory of it was somewhat skewed and he never wanted to make a fake profile of a young girl up to try and snare potential sex offenders. The fucking weirdo wanted to make one up of a young girl and post it as a missing person.
