Why did you join Pie and Bovril?

 Feckin 8 years ago i joined this board, a lot of advancements in technology in that time and other ways to put your views on football forward. But amazingly, pie and and bovril still gets the young uns joining and chatting about anything from the latest OF failings to the age old question of brown sauce or red sauce with lorne sausage baps (even though they give us cancer now too)

Main reason i joined was for a more balanced view of games after watching them, found our own site very tinted specs. Plus Gn was a general source of amusement and news that no other site was even close to getting quite as fast or giving such a generalised view of balanced opinion. Also went on golf day and met some good peeps like Div, Seamus, No8, Knightswood to name a few.

is there still a need for message boards like this in 2015? or has it just become such a slagging match ... meh over to P+B 2015 :)

Because I have no friends.

^^^ this.

Don't even remember how I found P&B, but I slithered around for a couple of years enjoying everybody's good works, before signing up in case I ever felt the need to contribute (or possibly just because you needed to have an account to access the Night Shift; can't remember). Then Miley joined and I've been spamming the site relentlessly since. Possibly need banning for my own good, TBH.

Genuinely no idea. I was never a member of any other forum and I haven't a clue how I even heard of the place.

Spend too much time on here as my post count says (tbf a LOT of my early posts were just smilies at the St Mirren and Clyde (?) trolls Capt. Sensible/Fast action's japes)

Some other forum ( can't remember what it was ) went tits up.

Someone on QOS Mad mentioned this one so had a look and joined.

It's good having fans of all clubs exchanging views in on one place. IMO

Dundeebarry's Leigh Griffiths blog got me to join. Found it through the Facebook page it had that a few of my mates liked, and realised through that that it'd come from here. Signed up when I realised it was ostensibly a football forum but with numerous other sections.

Only forum I've ever been part of, still entertains me greatly more often than not.

I stumbled across "Scottish football online" one night and thought it was quite amusing so joined up. Then it died.

Fukkin hell Stan? was the internet even invented when you signed up? certainly dont remember you being such a WUM until recently but then with the likes of the professionals that have either been banned or found a life, i imagine your dough humour went unnoticed.

Started off posting almost exclusively in the Junior forum - I'm involved with a club at that level, and probably my first couple of dozen posts would be have been along the lines of "Maryhill v whoever - game off".

As most will be aware it can be an insular wee world over there, but every now and then a couple of the second-prizers from elsewhere would come over there for an attempted noise-up, and I started exploring the other forums to see what the fuss was about.

Like anywhere online there's elements of this place I can't be arsed with, but enough of the punters on here seem to be reasonably sound to make it worthwhile coming back
