Grandma bought my sister this watch when we were very young (it's a gents watch I know). As we were very young it inevitably got overwound and sat in a drawer for 30 years until I decided to get it fixed.

I offered it back to my sister but she says she just breaks watches so it's mine now. It's not worth a lot but I like the 1970s style and the fact it's a wind up meaning I don't have to buy batteries.

Also I know I have a horrible arm.

I got rid of my expensive watches about a year or so ago.

Also had the option of receiving a £7k watch or a £3k watch from my grandfather when he passed, but I chose the cheap Casio as that's the one he always chose to wear. (The other 2 stayed within the family and won't be worn or sold in any case) Can't remember the types or I'd have posted them on here.

All I wear these days is one of these three:

Both are quite tidy and under £90.

Missus also bought me this about a year ago:

A watch that has sentimental value is priceless.  Far more meaningful that dropping £10K+ for a watch just because it looks nice.  👍

My watch is over 30 years old from new and running beautifully on its 4th battery. Never have to adjust time. I particularly like the links and the physical size of the watch. Between women and men's size.

Always get a pro to change battery so I can continue to wear as waterproof. 20200721_154818.thumb.jpeg.a2760c1594149396cd4c0e6020f9fd9d.jpeg

The Tag Heuer S/EL has got to be the most comfortable watch bracelets ever.  I think Tag Heuer made a big mistake ‘squaring off‘ the links for their Link series bracelets.

I’ve still got my S/EL and the brochure it came with.  Just missing the box it would appear 🤷‍♂️

Vostok Amphibia 090 case , much prefer it with no date. Read that it's a radio room dial. £45

Replying to an old post, but that's not a Radio Room dial. Radio Room dials have an offset red or black cross across the face.

Got this today for my birthday , Seiko Recraft solar chronograph. Only took 4 days from Amazon global in USA to Glasgow , quite impressed by that.

Amazon included a import fees deposit , cost roughly £150 for the watch £30 for import and £8 for quicker delivery. Only European Recraft seller I could find wanted €330 , the robbing fecker.

I'd be willing to adopt it from you? Or even weekend visitation rights if you need a little time to yourself?

😀 Have you seen the 18ct solid gold version? £75,000
