Unfortunately for England though if we’re going down that route away World Cups must also count double - seeing the Germans take a commanding 7-5 lead.

It seems to have come in around the start of the century as the printing technology improved and programme covers in general have become a bit more arty and conceptual

We're all capable of remembering dead soldiers and donating to the charities that help their families and those who are injured without wearing a symbol so that everyone knows. If you want to remember military deaths and disagree with unjust wars then wire in, you don't need a poppy to make it legitimate.
