I ‘do’ remember when they played it before the television broadcast shut down for the night. (Shakes fist at nothing in particular).

Remember it playing while you watched the clock, didn't recall the queen action film though...

Lest we forget what the UVF did for us.

I'm guessing the model has had that photoshopped on to him. He's a about 8 stone lighter, has greater hair, but far less tattoo coverage than I expected.

Or maybe their changing their image for a more boy band look.

Always think of my Great Uncle Jimmy at this time of year.

Went AWOL in 1917, returned a year later minus his uniform and kit which he got charged for.

Nae c**t ever mentions the AWOLers in this Remembrance stuff...

Maybe not, but thanks for making me remember Rik Waller. 😟

It's a hard pass from me for standing on my doorstep on the 11th.

They should have stopped all this gaudy shite years ago. I mean the whole thing. Get it all fucked. Get 'memorial' services to f**k. Get silences to f**k. Get wreaths to f**k. Most of all, get poppies absolutely to f**k.

...think it would be reasonable to scale things back considerably after the last WWII soldier is no longer with us with a big fuss being made over it one last time the Remembrance Sunday after the last WWII soldier dies. That's still maybe a decade away.

Think we're way beyond 'remembering' what such people fought for though.

Some laugh if Celtic do one. I did like Hearts memorial shirt they did for the McCraes battalion that served in WWI as it was a throwback that was subtle & dignified vs some tacky nightmare that resembles yer casually racist uncle/aunts facebook banner.

I didn't know that remembrance day cards were a thing.

I like Spitfire Mouse, seems fittingly sombre and respectful

There must be loads of tat for twats out there. I wonder if they do "world's best veteran" mugs.

F*** me, when did they start? And to whom do you send one? The grieving widow and fatherless children?

ETA: "Magical, meaningful items you can’t find anywhere else." That's a relief.
