HTG
I'd bite your hand off for Cumbernauld in the next round. I daresay they might well feel the same way.
HibeeJibee
Good win for EK today after being unable to finish it off last week. Tough tie away to Stenhousemuir in R3, similarly for Cumbernauld away to East Fife or Stirling Albion.
Simplistic
That trip to Stenny will suit EK though. Their experience on plastic will help. Well done to them.
newcastle broon
Saturday 28th November Gretna and now ww Dalbeattie have no fixture. Can the league no bring forward the Gretna ww game from springtime or maybe even a Dalbeattie Gretna (have they played twice) forward ?
HTG
Ffs, we've drawn Cumbernauld in the junior cup. Would have been a great double.
1320Lichtie
Why do Spartans and The University teams have sides in both the Lowland League and EOS?
HibeeJibee
It's only Stirling Uni, not Edinburgh too. When the Lowland League was founded they both had reserve teams in other leagues (in Spartans case it was the East Juniors - in Stirling's case the Central Amateurs as I recall, with a third team in the Stirling & District Amateurs). They, and Edinburgh City, did not resign from the EOS League; sent in their renewal cheques; and so forth, and therefore continued in membership of the EOS League plus resigned from the Juniors or Amateurs. At that time Berwick and Hibs also had reserves in the league but they both resigned the following summer... In the end City did not go ahead with their entry. As such they represent an anomaly as the only reserve teams in senior league.
Queenserse
And of course it gives them an opportunity to cheat.
sureiknow
And of course it gives them an opportunity to cheat. Surely Stirling wouldn't do that!
