Aye but we have produced more professional players than any other club in Scotland and only second mor in the whole of the British Isles. Lothian thoroughly deserved to win the game and if they had strikers with a bit more composure, would have won in normal time. So congratulations and if you play half as well in the next round then you will have too much for Huntly. As for us, we appeared to be less fit than an East of Scotland league team and less motivated. We were flat, poor and complacent and it was a throwback to the bad old days. Of real concern is the fact that we cannot put two performances together this season. Moreover, we have nothing credible on the bench to make up for injured players. The squad lacks sufficient depth. A grim night for all at the club and undoubtedly one of our worst ever results. We have to get the heads down and begin to put together a string of good league performances, in order to put this honking result behind us. Forty five years ago they were formed as a works team of Scottish Widows; twenty five years ago they joined the East of Scotland League from the Edinburgh Amateurs; a few years ago they merged with the famous Hutchie Vale youth club; and here they are now, into Scottish Cup R3 and bundling out SPFL teams. One of the ironies here is that they may not even be in the competition next season... As things stand they're third in EOS League albeit with games in hand on Leith Athletic. We have been so frustrating to watch this season. Team utterly full of passengers tonight, Steeves gets pass marks for going through a brick wall in ET (whether it was right or not to let him continue is a different issue), the rest: pfffrt.
