VodkaTap
The SJFA website has me slightly confused so I have a simple query. On the website it states - There are currently 164 Junior Clubs who are members of their respective regions. Yet it goes on to list West region - 63 clubs East region - 46 clubs North region - 38 clubs This is a total of 147 clubs Where are the other clubs - and why are they not listed ? I imagine at least some of them are SJFA members currently in abeyance - there's currently a few up North and also the likes of Luncarty and Harthill in the East - not sure if Bankfoot have chucked it all together. ETA: There's defo 64 clubs in the West now after Gartcairn joined - there were 63 up until then, which meant one team got a bye in the WoS cup. Easthouses joined this year too.. The Old Northerner
If you were to swap the East's 46 to 64, you'd get 163 in total.
A.M
60 clubs in the East, South Division has 13 teams , maybe this ?
VodkaTap
It is all a bit confusing on that site. They do list each team and I have counted them - more than once, just to be sure !! Teams in abeyance I can understand, but they are still members of their respective regions - so why not list them, and mark them as such ? I can also understand a new team like Gartcairn coming in - but not a difficult job to update the website I would have thought. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/sjfa/scottish_football.cfm?page=1737 Maybe somebody can find those missing teams
Hillonearth
Christ knows when that was last updated. Right off the bat, and these are just the ones that jump out: Stonehouse folded about five years ago. Ballingry folded last year. RAF Lossiemouth went amateur (I think) seven or eight years ago. No Rossvale, who joined about five years ago, ditto Falkirk Juniors. Or Gartcairn and Easthouses as previously mentioned. ETA: Steelend are gone a couple of years too. Surprised they've still not got Baillieston and Bonnybridge down.

theesel1994
Teams in abeyance I can understand, but they are still members of their respective regions - so why not list them, and mark them as such ? Are they still members though? Do they still pay any fees? Given the amount of clubs that go into abeyance for one year and never return I can understand why they don't list them. The Old Northerner
The 60 teams currently in the East are: Arbroath Vics Armadale Thistle Arniston Rangers Bathgate Thistle Blackburn United Blairgowrie Boness United Bonnyrigg Rose Brechin Vics Broughty Athletic Broxburn Athletic Camelon Juniors Carnoustie Panmure Coupar Angus Crossgates Primrose Dalkeith Thistle Downfield Dunbar United Dundee North End Dundee Violet Dundonald Bluebell East Craigie Easthouses Lily MW Edinburgh United Falkirk JFC Fauldhouse United Forfar Albion Forfar West End Glenrothes Haddington Athletic Hill of Beath Hawthorn Jeanfield Swifts Kelty Hearts Kennoway Star Hearts Kinnoull Kirkcaldy YM Kirriemuir Thistle Linlithgow Rose Livingston United Lochee Harp Lochee United Lochgelly Albert Lochore Welfare Montrose Roselea Musselburgh Athletic Newburgh Newtongrange Star Oakley United Penicuik Athletic Pumpherston Juniors Rosyth Sauchie Juniors Scone Thistle St Andrews United Stoneyburn Juniors Tayport Thornton Hibs Tranent Juniors West Calder United Whitburn Juniors Different thread I know but I've now seen Haddington play 41 of these sides in the decade I've been about

Hillonearth
You can see my confusion !! It certainly seems like the website hasn't been updated for some time then !! It looks like they've forgotten that list even is there, I reckon. The directory is up to date, it looks like though - http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/sjfa/football_document_libraries.cfm?page=1832 - that list appears to be a neglected wee corner of the site that the webmaster's allowed to get rampantly out of date. That seem to be exactly the problem !! Am sure the webmaster is being paid sweetly for it as well - from each club's hard earned money no doubt. And ultimately the links to each clubs website are not there to be available - as they should be ! At least we have the answer and I have confusion no more !
