Duns Fan Posted September 27, 2015 Share Posted September 27, 2015 First game for several weeks due to work commitments. Duns 2 HW 3 A really good game for the neutrals, Duns started off really well and got the first goal in the first 10 mins with robertson taking the lead. HW equalised 10 mins before half time, strong calls from offside but a couldn't tell because it happened all too quick. 1-1 at half time. Second half HW started to come at us and had alot of possesion but nothing in the final third. Eventually HW took the lead with a poorly cleared corner. Our keeper pulled off a good save and the ball fell to strangeways who didnt clear the ball and HW won the ball back and finished well. About 15 mins later we equalised through a goal that never was. Strangeways had a great header saved by the uni keeper but the ref decided it was a goal even though it was a good few yards away from the goal line. HW got the third with 10 mins to go. Another poorly defended set piece. A good game to watch, Duns and the uni played well. Ref was ok few dubious calls like the goal for example but take the luck as it comes. 11010 Posted September 27, 2015 Share Posted September 27, 2015 I wouldn't say all over Ormiston, I'd say that both sides were really quite lax in their approach to the game.
