I seem to rate the Lowland teams in the senior scottish higher than you Nocko.

Dalbeattie 10/3 I'm as low as 29/20

Gala Fairydean 9/2 I'm 5/2

Selkirk 5/1 I'm 12/5

Edinburgh Uni 10/11 I'm 8/15

In the Junior cup 3 stand out for me,

Ardeer 2/1 I'm 10/11

Broxburn 5/6 I'm 1/3

Star Hearts 1/2 I'm 1/6

Superbigal will hopefully let us know his thoughts as it's his favourite weekend of the year.

I don't see odds from VC, the odds you quote are from Stan James and they look like they've nicked Hill's odds and added on a fraction.

The odds I send to McBookie are my odds and 99% of the time are the actual odds used but it's up to them if they decide to use them or not and I don't have any problem with that.

Last night to be clear Elton.

McBookie were displaying VCs odds.

I emailed Paul.

His reply

"Usual story sadly that when we get to the proper rounds of the Scottish Cup

we go with the VC system until they agree to override them

I have sent them over (Your odds) so hopefully they will change soon "

Now I guess something is currently going down as VC have removed the odds and therefore they also do not appear on the McB site.

Stan James odds went up this morning.

It was obvious SJ, BV & Betbright had just adopted Hills odds albeit with slightly better percentages.

Owen has actually got his odds on display 100% at Hills with no interference this time, and the sheep are following.

Hopefully your odds will appear to stir the market a little.

Otherwise what is generally "my favourite weekend" of the season will be a borefest.

Pretty poor seeing as they're sponsoring it. I had the same, couldn't remember the bets I was going to make so had to go away to find a wifi connection and find this page, go back to the bookies and write the bets and odds down, wait while the girl phoned up and checked each game's odds, then phoned someone else to see if they would take the bet. Turns out the odds are better at McBookies anyway after all that.

Matches have been on shop screens since before this post was displayed. So I can only apologise the shops you were in were unable to find.

Have to say the screens accessible to the punters in Inverness are from the dark ages and the behind the counter ones aren't much better given the difficulty the staff have navigating around them. Maybe I'm too spoilt by internet betting. When they've got the Junior/HL/LL odds on a poster it's fine though.

What shop Al? Our Dundee shops do quite well with this so that's surprising.

As for calling bets through that happens in every single market available. Some telephonists will be great others might not have dealt with some of the names so might struggle.

When I told the guy in Bathgate the teams I wanted to back he told me it was a junior coupon I was looking for. I advised him it was the senior Scottish Cup that his company sponsored but he didnt have a clue. I was not able to put a bet on and advised there "might" be a coupon in today.

Apologies about that. There will not be a coupon but all prices have been on screen since Monday.

Al - When I say agree to change I meant from a system point of view rather than them thinking their prices are correct. It is a manual job for the Non League and any other markets we want our own price. Otherwise it is an automatic process. With five other firms copying Hills prices - with more to follow it makes it impossible to stand alone. As it is we are top price on all the ones that Elton is top price on and under the odds the ones he fancies.

Hills prices were clear enough to me on their Internet site so I'm absolutely mystified that shop staff can't find them.

Their shop software looks like something from the 1980's, I think all their investment has gone into their fixed odds machines.
