Andy Murray Latest and General Tennis Chat

If Croatia have half a brain they will elect for clay. Murray absolutely hates changing surfaces due to injury risk, and as result by electing for clay there would be a high chance of a withdrawal. GB without Murray on clay would get beat 4-1 at least.

Haha I can't read, his potential second round opponent is Robin Haase. Still tricky as he has beaten Murray before and was two sets up in US Open two years ago, but not as tricky as Tommy Haas.

Although Haase is a set and a break down to Eduaord Roger-Vasselin. Murray has played him once and cruised through teh match in straight sets. Shouldn't pose a threat at all.

Yeah Roger-Vasselin made it through. Murray potentially has Tsonga-Nadal-Djokovic. Can't see him dethroning Nadal tbh. Strangers things and all that though....

It was nice to see Andy's brother Jamie win the mens doubles with Peers in the US Clay Court Championship.

Murray/Peers beat the Bryan brothers in the final 1-6 7-6 (7-3) 12-10.

It looks like Djokovic will be fit to play in Monte Carlo against Youzhny.

Stan the Man next for Murray. Unfortunately Murray is Wawrinka's bitch on clay. But Murray looked in control yesterday and looks more convincing on the red stuff.

Had to laugh yesterday about Murrays time violation, which he got whilst waiting for Roger-Vaseline to stop pissing about with his racket. Murray made a good point when he said the umpire and line judges need to watch both players for time violations. And that you're not allowed to serve if your opponent isn't ready, which Roger Vaseline wasn't.

Was saying to a colleague earlier, when do you ever see Nadal, Djokovic or Federer lose as convincingly as that? That's an absolute dicking. The only time I can think of when one of them lost like that was in 2009 when Nadal lost 6-2 6-2 6-2 to Del Potro at the US Open.

He'll bounce back in Madrid though and probably go deep in the draw, that's a nap if ever there was one
