cameron2000
Are they allowed to take performance into account in future tournaments? Like if an unseeded player wins Wimbledon could that be used as a criteria for seeding them at the US Open, or would they have to ignore it because of the ranking points ban?All seedings on tour are determined by ranking - no exceptions. Wimbledon up until very recently was the only exception (had a formula system) but not anymore.

Aye, it'll be shorter than a football match if Norrie doesn't up his game drastically on Friday.
Detournement
Nadal is losing. Goes off with an injury. Comes back out and immediately takes over. Commentator asks Lopez 'Why is it so hard to play someone who is injured' The real question is why is so hard to play someone who has been in the locker room while you were on court?
Lex
Nadal looks done here. Not moving right at all, and his family are signalling for him to quit. He could hardly hit the ball over the net in that last game. Would be surprised if he finishes this match.
cdhafc1874
Kyrgios pretty imperious beating Garin in straight sets to make the semis.
Lex
Yep, first ever gramd slam semi final for 27 year old Kyrgios, which is ridiculous given how good a player he is. That's what being a big flaky drama queen does to you though. I do fancy him to beat Nadal or, more likely, Fritz in the semi.

accies1874
Why would you wear your Celtic top to a tennis match?
Donathan
19 hours ago, Lex said: Oh definitely. The top guys aren’t that arsed about ranking points anyway, it makes no real difference to Djokovic and Nadal. it’s guys like Norrie, Van Rijtoven and Broady who are really affected. The rankling points these guys should have got from their runs would have made a huge difference to them. There will be no asterisk beside the name of whoever wins this title, but it is a pity the world number one Medvedev hasn’t been allowed to compete. He hasn’t lived in Russia since he was a kid. That’s the whole idea of sanctions. Guys like Medvedev and other famous Russians have the power to put pressure on Putin and they have influence over the views of ordinary Russians. Banning Russian players was the correct decision and the ATP are complicit in the war for removing ranking points.

GiGi
Nadal looks remarkably uninjured in the 5th. Medical timeouts are a pile of pish.

John Lambies Doos
Nadal vs Kyrgios should be good viewing. It will be very tasty. You would have to favour Kyrgios but you can't right Rafa off, nor negate a heads gone by Nick

"He's obviously ailing... he's obviously injured... He's obviously ailing... he's obviously injured." Nadal's face freezing in disquiet and distaste when was told it was Kyrgios he will be playing was a picture, the excessive blinking and arse-picking halted for once, after awkwardly and shamefacedly narrating his way through Further Tales of Mysterious and Imaginary Injuries #3,769.
