Thereisalight..
That wee Lassie in Tan's box is the epitome of why sport is amazing. So excited and loving life

TheScarf
Williams is looking her age now. Half a step slower and her shots clearly have less power. No matches for ages won't have helped either.
Lex
I think if Murray could have picked a seeded player to face in the second round, he'd have picked Isner, this is a great draw. He's the archetypal big serving clogger, the kind of player Murray has mopped up with ease with his returning game throughout his career. They've played eight times previously, and Murray has won the lot. And of course Isner is 37, two years older than Andy, this is no improving up and comer. If Murray can stay fit he will surely win this. 7-6 , 7-5, 6-7, 6-1.
Mark Connolly
Nice of the BBC to let Konta see a decent British player play on Centre Court…
lichtie23
Very poor 1st set from Raducanu
Ignoramus
This always looked like a tough test for Raducanu and she’s struggling big time here

peasy23
Cam Norrie's opponent has seized up after going 2-1 up, Norrie win the 4th set 6-0 and the 5th has started in similar style.
peasy23
Is Raducanu the ultimate flash in the pan? She certainly had the perfect storm in New York, but I think it's symptomatic of how little there is between most of the women's players. Lots of seeds tumbling out early as seems to be normal at all the slams now on the women's side.

Too early to judge, this season has been a disaster with Covid and injuries. Wimbledon was always going to be a tough ask after no preparation.
Mark Connolly
Thought she actually played some decent stuff, but Garcia was far more consistent, and just looked a level above

Lex
Pity for Radacanu, but not surprising. Seems a long way a way off now, but if she can get her fitness and form back she's certainly got more majors in her at some point. Still, even if she never hits another tennis ball she would go down as the greatest British female player for 50 years.
Left Back
Very selfish of Norrie not to get this done before Andy's match started.

H Wragg
What's with the huge gaps in the crowd in Centre Court?Noticed it in Murray's first game as well.
betting competition
That could be the first set gone for Murray. He will need to serve better than the last game.
Loki
John Isner has now converted his second break point against Andy Murray in nine matches. He has made 50 opportunities.
