Fratelli
Absolutely superb, she’s going to go stratospheric, especially over here with the Murray shaped hole in the tennis landscape about to appear. Unreal man. Also, get it up Fernandez for that shite at the medical break.
TheScarf
Good to see Hacksaw Jim Duggan in her team too.
Nightmare
I was quite liking Fernandez up until that behaviour at the end. Raducanu is incredible, and that was a great watch in general.

Didnt think I'd ever see a British female win a slam! Aye, it's great for the Canadian and her Romanian and Chinese parents. -
meanmistermustard
What’s the pish with Tim Henman? I thought he was there for tv and had f**k all to do with Raducanu aside from being on court for tv and her looking at him.

craigkillie
The amount of drugs in sport has turned me into such a cynic that when someone comes from nowhere like she has I can't help but be suspicious. Probably unfair on her but that's the way things are these days. That would be true of a 28 year-old coming out of nowhere, but it's more normal for an 18 year-old.
GaryMc93
Everyone will want a piece of her in the next couple of months so hopefully she's got a strong enough team around her as she comes across as a girl who just loves playing tennis. Also given she's barely played any tournaments at tour level and isn't defending any ranking points until next year's Wimbledon she could even drop back down to the Challenger level until the Australian Open to get away from all the media attention.

GordonS
If you don't count medical retirement as a defeat, Raducanu's career grand slam record is played 10, won 10.

As much as I am happy that two Canadian born players were in this final, Raducanu is British and Britain deserves to celebrate having a US open champion
