afc_36_0
Poor first half but stirling lacked cutting edge from all there possession, improved 2nd half with 2 quickfire goals enough to see stirling off. Hopefully these 2 wins will help build confidence and performances will get better, still too many players feeling the need to punt the ball long

BB_Bino
On the bus coming back, deflated. If football was about keeping possession of the ball and passing it side ways then we'd be a Premiership team, but sadly it isn't. Another 90 minutes of creating absolutely sod all but keeping the ball. The First Half, we were the better team. Cunningham & Doris looked lively up front and it was wave after wave of Albion attack......without actually creating a chance. Second Half.....give the ball away through over passing and Arbroath make it 1-0, poor Defending leaves Linn unmarked and he fires past Smith makes it game over. A fair few of the Away support left at that point and it's totally understandable why, it was embarrassing!!!! We huffed and puffed throughout the game, but in truth, Arbroath were organised and looked comfortable, never in danger of losing and deserved their win. There was no movement, no ideas, no fight, no passion, no Left sided outball and no idea how to actually win the game, whether we were on top, 1 goal behind or even 2 goals behind.......we were clueless. Sandy Cunningham was our most lively player (along with Doris) in my opinion and if we were going to create anything it was going to be through him......yet he was substituted after about 60 minutes.......why????? Our tactics seem to consist of, move the ball side ways until we get into the final third, then either A) launch it "into the channels"........also known as the corner flag or B ) launch it into the box for their Defender to clear the danger, it's predictable and embarrassing. I love a wee trip to Arbroath, although not even the friendly "shop keeper" can justify the £13 entrance fee, the club really need to look at that, it's quite frankly too high. Lichtie78
another good team performance. Great seeing how much it means to the players too. Watson was class at centre half last week and was class at RB today, need to get him signed up for the season, same with Ryan who was always a willing runner. Stirling had the majority of the possession in the first half but never really looked like scoring and we defended pretty well. Sergio took his goal well and then Bobbys goal was well worked. Saw out the game pretty comfortably. Wheatley and Stewart were class I thought, and Clarke from the bench seems a good option when we're consolidating a win. Reid came on but unlike last week didn't get much of a chance on the ball. happy with 3 points obviously, and a win next week will see us really pull away from the bottom. Lichtie78
also think it's a shambles that Linn got booked for celebrating with the fans. If refs insist on enforcing that law then why did only Linn get booked?he wasn't the only player in the crowd
rhliston
Beautiful day here in Arbroath. Hopefully get a decent game as well Well not a classic by any means but if you are an Arbroath fan you will be a lot happier than the Albion fans tonight who once again have to suffer another poor performance lacking the cutting edge in front of goal. Good job East Stirling play in this league otherwise its the relegation playoffs for us this season.

BB_Bino
A full £1 more than stirling charge, absolute disgraceForthbank is over priced as well. £10 is a fair price to pay at this level, £12 at a push.....any more than that is just a rip off IMHO.PS - Steak Pie was a belter though and the extra £1 could be warranted just to get in to taste such a piece of beauty I suppose. Smokie_Bacon_crisps
For the sake of a £1 it's hardly worth a grumble! Our Season tickets are slightly better value too. 1320Lichtie
How did Munro do? Are we looking more of a team rather than lost lambs. He done well. He's a good defender but punted literally everything he got in the first half, came out second half and played the pass of the game that effectively got us the first goal. Made an interception, ran forward with it and took out Stirling Albions whole team with a through ball to Ryan, who then hit it and Linn set up Cecillia off the rebound. I think him and Little are a good pairing. And aye we look like a team now, Watsons had a huge impact on our back 4 IMO and the rest of the team seem to have gained confidence from it going forward. 2 clean sheets in a row now which you just could not see happening 4 weeks ago. 1320Lichtie
Cracking SBC, few of my favourites from the goals Noticed Watson/Ryan and Ramsey all going daft too, seem to really be enjoying their football with us, I hope we can get at least 2 of them tied up for the full season Love that Watson photo there. keptie
Good too come away from Gayfield feeling happy,,a unspectacular but solid performance from us and we are at last getting our defensive frailties sorted out,we never looked like conceding even though Stirling were on top in the first half we defended well,We played well in the second once we went in front and eased through the rest of the game.Stirling were ok first half but poor second half and never really threatened. How often does this happen at Gayfield, hot, sunny, totally windless, just made the win even more enjoyable..
