Probably a good match for Dods as form tends not to count for much in these games and he'll certainly know plenty about the opposition. Flip side is that lose this game and pressure mounts.

We need to get a result and get the Dunfermline game out of the players systems, other than that we have been playing well and are more than capable of leaving with 3 points.

Ye YOU are more than capable and probably will quite comfortably minus Dicks mind games and trackside antics !! We re a poor poor team !!

This league is very changeable from one season to the next. Brechin only lost 7 league matches in the whole of last season and conceded 46 goals.

That's 5 defeats and 14 conceded already.

Aye. Dunfermline were shite last year too and look at them now .

We lost more than half our team not to mention our manager and coaching staff. Sometimes teams thrive on change ......usually teams that were shite right enough.

The 5-1 recently was bad enough but I fear this even more......the weekend game shows you what kind of luck Dods is getting. He was all ready not to start and gearing up for the game from the side when Perry got injured putting his boots on resulting in Dods having to play. Regardless of whether or not Perry makes a difference is neither here nor there but just demonstrates his luck.

Must say I'm not looking forward to this one in the slightest. Many say form goes out the window in Derby games but we are notoriously poor against Forfar since Campbell took over there and this is the first time in quite a while where you would say there is a noticeable gap in quality between the two sides.

The vast majority of City fans accepted that we would take a while to get going with a rookie management team and most of our key players leaving in the summer, but I don't think anyone anticipated 7 straight defeats. Regardless of circumstances that just isn't good enough and the pressure is now on to start getting results and soon, otherwise we are going to find ourselves marooned at the bottom.

Yes, we've had chronic luck and injury problems but you need guys who are capable of coming in and doing a job. At the moment we look well short of what is required and alarmingly our most reliable players such as Molloy and Jackson are struggling. I do believe once we get close to our first choice 11 on the park (and in particular Dods managing from he sidelines and a fit Dene Shields) then we will improve. Whether we improve enough to start getting wins on the board remains to be seen as right now we are leaking goals and not creating many opportunities.

Hopefully the players will be fired up to kick start our season on Saturday.

Who is Darren's assistant? You really need someone with experience in there. Sandy Clark at Dunfermline never stopped talking to their players the whole game last week, same with Billy Stark for Albion Rovers.

I mentioned this on the other thread. We had 2 assistants with Ray McKinnon . One was quiet but a good tactician, the other was a man manager and a bit of a motivator. This seemed to work well. Just now Lee Bailey doesn't really have anyone to bounce ideas off as Dods is on the park.

Also with Dods making so many mistakes , it must be difficult to criticise anyone else without them taking umbrage. This is possibly why there seems to be no form of leadership either on or off the park.

Kinda feel sorry for Dods as he did well for us but hope we abosuktely cuff his team this weekend .

Don t think there's any hoping about it ! We really are bad !! But am gonna stick by by him ! Saturday could see home supporters turn against him especially with our Farfar pals in amongst us goading us ! On the other hand it's maybe the game that will be the making of the team ! A derby win would do wonders for confidence !

Ps...... What's our longest losing streak been ? After equalling our longest unbeaten stretch last season ? (Seems ages ago now)
