No_Problemo
Reckless over the ball and excessive force. Play on lads is only bones![/quote His leg is over the ball after the tackle has taken place, in other words there can't be any excessive force as he has already taken the ball without touching him. Diamonds are Forever
These breakdowns are going to be a weekly occurance. Every team is going to be physical against a side that are obviously superior in ability. The more you complain about it the more teams will see it as a weakness and use it as a tactic. Super cally
The broken ankle was just one of those bad incidents, nothing malicious or any intent to hurt. The bleeding faces etc I'll need to have another look at, but Dunfermline weren't whiter than white. We were just more clinical as you say and I thought that was the best defensive display from us in about 5 years. We also still have Graham on the bench too.... For us to be serious contenders, we need to go on a run of 5+ straight wins and put pressure on those around us. We would have been on 5 straight had we took our chances against forfar not lost that crazy goal at the end

Not really sure what you mean by that, winning the ball has nothing to do with excessive force. Regardless, only an idiot would use a still photo as proof of excessive force. It's the equivalent of putting up a photo of someone running and saying it's proof of how fast he is.

aldo
Before I do that though; it's horrible to see any player suffer a bad injury in a match. 1) The tackle wasn't bad. The ref not giving a foul doesn't indicate much, going by his performance but it was not a crude tackle; it was actually in fact fair, just. 2) It was our goalie and captain who noticed the boy in pain and called for help, Dunfermline players were too busy trying, and failing, to take down our counter attacking players. 3) (Unrelated) - Get it up ye's. Yup, aware of that, however his leading leg has made the challenge without touching the Dunfermline player, basically the forceful part of a challenge is the contact made with the leading foot IMO. However agree a still photo doesn't help you reach much of a conclusion.
AyrExile
After consistently losing some shocking goals earlier in the season with even our own manager declaring us lightweight it's nice to see in the space of ninety minutes we've turned into a team of thugs and hatchet men. No_Problemo
Thought whoever Dunfermline brought on at right back was brutal, wrestled Boyle to the floor, got incredibly wound up at Caldwell then decided to volley him as he ran by him.
