Fitba Tips
Not one for the faint hearted at a price of 1.65(13/20) but BTTS has come in in 21/25 H2Hs by my reckoning. That makes it a value bet in anymans language. I will be on for sure.

Always find it hard to put faith in stats going back several years, when the composition of each team has changed so much in that time. BTTS may well still happen of course, I'm just not sure whether results in, say, 2010, should be taken into consideration.

Neilly
Always find it hard to put faith in stats going back several years, when the composition of each team has changed so much in that time. BTTS may well still happen of course, I'm just not sure whether results in, say, 2010, should be taken into consideration. They shouldn't. Historical results have nothing to do with the two sides currently. It would not be rocket science to predict BTTS on a match involving us though considering it has happened in all 4 league games this season. Nightmare
The only way historical results could ever really factor in is if a fixture is permanently one-sided over a lengthy period of time to the point that it could have a mental impact on players involved in the tie, but even in a situation like that I'd say it's still pretty pointless. Using results years ago for goals-based betting makes no sense really.
Diamonds are Forever
If you're going to argue that it will be BTTS to score then Neilly's reasoning is far more relevant (and the fact 3 out of Ayr's 4 league games both teams have scored). Games played 5 years ago played by none of the players that will be playing tomorrow have about as much relevance as the last 25 Airdrie v Cowdenbeath fixtures. Does seem a bit like someone going looking for a bet purely because there are no other games tomorrow.

professor challenger
Don't know if it was anything to do with this thread but I was going to put money on the BTTS which was on offer at 13/20. Trying to place the bet and the price was reduced TWICE and finally was only available at 4/7. First time I`ve ever had two price alerts on the one bet. (This was with Hills). Didn't bother
Fife Journeyman
Going by above if u put £700 on at original odds youd get £455 profit. With new price £400 profit. Dont imagine youd be betting at they amounts so if u stuck £100 on youd be around £8 worse off with new price. Great reason no too bother

Fitba Tips
Everytime I see a stat that says BTTS occured in (now) 22/26 games and the bookies offer a price of 1.65 on the outcome I will be all over it. Nothing else will matter. The historical stats in this game point to an inexorable probability that both teams would score. Of course the decision to back it is made easier by current stats this season as has been pointed out.
