Whats the odds now? Should make for some interesting reading.

SkyBet's odds are as follows:

John Hughes 8/11

Tommy Wright Evens

Stuart McCall 10/1

Mixu Paatelainen 16/1

Steve Evans 16/1

Alan Irvine 20/1

Jim McIntyre 20/1

Dave Bowman 33/1

It's worth pointing out that Bowman is the same odds as Hartley, Jim Duffy, Roy Keane and Keith Lasley - so as amusing as it is, it's not likely!

Jim Spence has gone back to tweeting about Tommy Wright

That'll be you back to shitting it then.

They're dragging the a ares out of it now, get Hughes appointed and be done with it.

Incredible that Motherwell and United are still manager less - is it because it's a slow couple of weeks football wise or is it the norm for clubs to take this long?

Inverness have "officially" given permission as of this afternoon for Dundee Utd to speak with Yogi. Like I said, he will be manager tomorrow. I would have said Tuesday for press reasons but unless Strachan quits tonight nobody will give a f**k about the Scotland match tomorrow.

What time's the press conference?

Last time round with us McCall resigned on 2nd November and we eventually appointed Baraclough on 13th December, so roughly six weeks. The club seemed to indicate they wanted get someone appointed a bit quicker this time. As it stands it's been around 2.5 weeks since Baraclough was binned.

In our case it seems to be handled by committee; they spent a week going through potential candidates and last week was supposed to be the start of interviews, though as per usual for us no one has any sort of idea who we've interviewed or are interested in. All the Valikari stuff for example seems to have been from his agent as source.

In fairness the club gave a rough timeline a few weeks ago indicating they hoped to have the new manager named before the Celtic game this coming Saturday so depending on where they are with the interview stage then they're still potentially on track to meet that.

Being world famous we'll have had hundreds, nay, thousands of applications and it takes time to filter the chaff to ensure that only prime wheat takes root at Tannadice.

The other option is appoint the first swivel eyed ex player to shout that he pure hates our neighbours and is available immediately, ill fitting pin stripe suit and all.
