Dunfermline v Cowdenbeath, Sat 15th Aug

Recommended Posts

No I wouldn't Granty boy - 1970/71 - 4 wins out of 4, 1972/73 - 2 wins out of 2, 1975/76 4-0 in the Spring Cup, 1976/77 - Geordie Hunter lob from the wing 1-0 to the Blue Brazil, 1977/78 - two goal Charley Harley 3-1 to Cowden, 1985/86 - Kenny Ward runs amok and Cowden win 2-1 at EEP, 1988/89 Fife Cup final at EEP - Mark Yardley and Roddy Grant score for Cowden and John Holt is sent off in another 3-1 win, 1992/93 Willie Cal and 2-0 at EEP, 2012/13 4-2 at Central Park, Play off 2013/14 - you're right I was mistaken there's 13 I recall off the top of my head not 12 - unlucky for some.

Every one of those games involved both sides full strength line ups and the three that were Fife Cup finals were full blooded no holds barred encounters before impressive crowds. Pity we don't see really competitive games like that now in the Fife Cup. Glad I can make you happy

You included the Fife Cup and the Spring Cup (?) and you are being 100% serious as well. I'm literally melting with embarrassment for you.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Look I know it's the school holidays and you're getting to stay up late after your bath but that doesn't excuse posting nonsense while sitting there drinking ovaltine with your dressing gown and baffies on

Counting Fife cup and the complete failure of a competition that was the spring cup

Edit- let's look at this properly, 1970/71 2 Cowdenbeath wins in the league, didn't meet in either of the proper cups. Dont know where you got the other 2 games from.

72/73 2 league wins

75/76 nothing cup used to create games whilst the league got itself together.

76/77 1 league win

77/78 1 league win

85/86 you lost all the games in the league this must have been another diddy cup win.

88/89 fife cup,says it all

92/93 1 league win

2012/2013 1 league win

2013/14 1 league win

So thats 9 wins, in 45 years! 3 in the last 37. We only need to go back to 2003/4 to meet that, we have beaten you more times in the last 4 years than you have since 78.

Here's another young laddie trying to post - that's about four of them now and not a post of substance between them. I think you guys should voluntarily relegate yourselves to the League Two forum for a couple of years and learn the craft of posting. You are out of your League at the moment. Lame claims and emoticons just don't do it.

Wonder if they'll bring out t-shirts saying PARScelona and Blue Brazil again if they, somehow, manage to get a victory next week. Probably bring out a book if they get a draw

Townie banter. My sides are splitting. Who really gies a f**k about these Townies getting a rager on cos they're top of the Third Tier of Scottish football. We really are seeing the return of the glory days at East End Park.

Some fine victories in such prestigious cups right there.

Going to take some doing to uncurl my toes from that cringefest.

I'm sure if you really scramble around there will be a friendly/u12's fixtures that would mean just as much as those momentous Fife and Spring Cup games.
