So only people who picked one of these teams last time round pick again?

Either that or just see if their original pick wins or draws (in which case they'd be through) or loses (in which case they'd be out). Sort of question which justifies the trial-run.

Surely Killie should have lost 2-0 rather than draw 2-2?

Correct, I made a mistake on the very last game.

Corrected.

This weekend's results. Quite a massacre of league clubs including Hearts, Dumbarton, East Fife, Dundee, Hamilton, Motherwell, East Stirlingshire, Arbroath, Forfar, Morton, Queen's Park, Clyde, Alloa, Airdrie and Livingston exiting at the hands of non-league opposition.

Motherwell 0-4 Heriot-Watt University

Christ, is it December already?

Nithsdale Wanderers v Annan Athletic

Rothes v Fleet Star

If any ties are drawn again, both clubs advance to the next round.

Just a suggestion while you're ironing out the problems in the trial - could do a 'golden goal' style earliest goal wins the tie in the event of a draw? If it's going to help keep the teams in the next round even rather than putting both through?

Could do. In this case it wouldn't work, as times aren't reported in EOSL & SOSL (and with varying reliability in HL & LL). There were 51 ties & 1 bye in R1 anyway so putting twice-drawn clubs through won't affect things, might actually help come latter stages.

Putting both through is what they did in the very early days of the Scottish Cup, interestingly. Other tie-breaks could be multiple replays, or away goals, or (in later rounds) goal count back.

Second round results. Even at this early stage, I think the difficulty of actually being able to predict a winner with reasonably accuracy is a big pitfall. That said the equivalent on FitbaNorth seems to have been running for several years so they must get on all right.

Deila's job in doubt after a shock home exit to SOSL strugglers Crichton. Hibs also went down 2-0 to Fort William. Coldstream skelped Dunfermline.
