Should Airdrie play Rangers at Broadwood ?

Recommended Posts

When we played Rangers in the league a few years ago the football club did not get the financial reward we deserved from the large crowd. The Stadium Company gained the main benefit.

If we want to avoid a repeat of this, we could move the game to a stadium provider who will give us a better deal. Broadwood or Almondvale.

Would the Airdrie support agree with a switch like this ?

You'd just be better asking Sevco to pay you a sum for a default 3-0 win. Because such a move is all about money and money only and utterly disregards the competition and the home fans.

Although I think the suggestion is complete nonsense, perhaps you could post the figures re costs and 'rewards' so we can see for ourselves who gained the most benefit. If the basis of this is Jim Ballantyne said so then probably best to just lock this thread.

But regardless, Airdrieonians are a team from Airdrie and as such should play (home games) in the town. Not Broadwood, Livingston or Cliftonhill. The clue is in the name.

Who cares? Rangers and Airdrie are both deid.

It's Sevco @ Airdrie Utd, m9.

What ?

Seriously, are folk still coming out with this stuff

Give you a clue mate, when EVEN Dunfermline fans gave up on the whole tedious "Airdrie are deid" patter about 5 years ago, you know it's time to give it a rest...
