tamthebam
this match was played at the start of August 2014 and would have probably been called off if the ref hadn't been in a generous mood
HibeeJibee
What happens if its postponed 3 times down there also? question duns v whitehill was switched as whitehill postponed 3 times now duns will have postponed it twice if it gets postponed again does it go back to whitehill ? I think this lĺ be Duns 3rd postponement, now into unknown territory. HibeeJibee
Admire your confidence in the winning team's ground being playable, Rab . Incidentally, I see that Duns haven't played since October 31st, and Whitehill have only played once since October 24th. (Remarkably various others - e.g. EK, Ed City, Ed Uni, Gala, etc. - have only suffered 2-3 postponements). Supporters may be advised to wear masks, to avoid inhaling the rust!! HibeeJibee
I see the Gala game is a 2.00pm KO to allow for the WW v Duns! It's 2pm to allow for Hawick v Duns which is there following the flood damage at Albert Park: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/RefereeAppointments/EastofScotlandLeague/EastofScotlandLeague/27.%20East%20of%20Scotland%20League%20Saturday%2013th%20-%20Wednesday%2017th%20February%202016.pdf Hawick v Duns will evidently be bumped if Duns v Whitehill is off - that taking its slot - or if Duns win. Elsewhere, both clubs have surrendered home advantage in the CSS v Tynecastle tie, which goes ahead at Peffermill (must be 3G) at 3:15pm. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/RefereeAppointments/SouthRegionChallengeCup/07.%20South%20Region%20Challenge%20Cup%20Saturday%2013th%20February%202016.pdf Makes sense. This should have been done weeks ago. Rightly or wrongly - I'd say wrongly, others mightn't - the rules have always allowed each club 3 successive shots at it, unless one or both agrees to surrender home advantage at an earlier juncture (which often happens tbf). Since the competition began in 2008 this is the first time I can remember a tie going through all 6, indeed going through 3 has been rare. This particular tie was off: November 14th - at Rosewell November 21st - at Rosewell November 28th - at Rosewell & at Duns December 12th - at Duns January 23rd - at Duns
