Littered with errors.

https://www.skysports.com/football/story-telling/11095/12037286/sir-alex-ferguson-at-st-mirren-the-story-of-fergies-furies

Billy Stark never played in Aberdeens UEFA Cup Winners Cup Triumph

Frank McGarvey never played a first team game for Liverpool

And Willie Miller was never World Class unless being a c**t counts.

You’re right.  He was far better than that.

Old Willie's media image has done his legacy no favours. But he was one of the greatest penalty box tacklers ever - no doubt of that. Being part of a settled defensive partnership for such a long time helped boost his World Classiness rating. As for his refereeing skills - he was the club Captain. Surely  part of that role should be to question decisions and show a bit of attitude, something lacking in too many players in that job in most clubs? (If only Aberdeen had such a Captain today, eh?).

Still, he does need to go and enjoy his retirement well away from a microphone.

Clichéd Pish thread for this.

Don’t be unkind. Pat ‘technical panel’ bonner’s brain can’t cope with anything beyond ‘if Celtic didn’t win, rangers did’.

3-0 is a thrashing now 🤔

image.png.696cf8486c9969055bb1f3a7da9253f8.png

It was four, but now it appears only three goals are required for a thrashing.

How long before teams are getting 'thrashed' two nil?

I clearly need to get out more I think :)

TBF I've seen us get thrashed by one a few times.

That did jump out at me a as a bit jarring too.

One for Adam Hurrey and the Football Cliches Appeal Panel, methinks.

He's one horrible c**t. He wants nothing to do with the abuse yet proceeds to mention it in his newspaper column. Yeah, sure. Practically begging for it to happen.

Specifically mentioning him waving an Irish flag to justify any abuse he receives

Not so much a dog whistle but a bullhorn

Would like the players union to come out and condemn that article.

Probably the most shameful example of an OF pundit doing a “please like me, rangers fans!!!” Piece.

Maybe slight off topic, but I was just having a quick listen to the Athletic podcast about Euro 92

Stewart Weir was contributing to it from a Scottish perspective

It felt embarrassing listening to him, didn’t say a single positive thing about Scotland, didn’t even discuss the team we had

Came across as almost apologetic for us being at the tournament and having a cheek to beat the CIS in it

Claimed one of the reasons Scotland fans didn’t cause trouble was because we realised if we smashed up a pub at 12pm, it won’t be opened later after the game.

I had to double check, only 8 teams qualified for that tournament so we must have been half decent
