Yer Da has been watching the SWPL.

If he thinks that's bad defending he should see the equaliser that Leverkusen conceded yesterday, probably the most ludicrous goal I've ever seen.

But that was men's football so wouldn't suit the agenda.

The issue with his comment isnt the criticism of the defending, which is fair enough, its the comparison with the male game that just seems wholly unnecessary. Half expecting him to reply that the keeper would have a better chance of saving it if the goals were smaller for womens football or whatever else the dunces usually hit out with.

Criticise the defending for what it was. Which was objectionably funny considering the bad defending from Rangers cost Celtic the league.

The whole Rangers had chucked argument is complete nonsense to those who watched the game. From 7:00 on they're going all out with Lee Gibson making two fantastic saves to keep City ahead in the 94th minute.

Spiers is just being an absolute da, pretty sure he defended Goodwillie as well.

I did here when Rangers went up the other end straight after conceding the fans were booing them which I found quite funny tbh.

Has there ever been a more "Rangers looking" person than Malky Thomson?

The funny thing for me was, after Glasgow City went in front, Rangers needed three goals to win the title, and it was already deep in stoppage time. It wasn't happening.

The Rangers players probably didn't know it was 2-0. They would have been thinking a simple win wins the league.

Even if they did know, a win would have at least secured second and a Champions League spot.

Poor journalism from you tbh.

It's actually just poor reading comprehension from you tbh, or wilful misinterpretation to facilitate a weaselly, snarky response.

The 'funny' part, in isolation, is that a goal for Rangers at that stage hands the title to their city rivals, not the fact that they are quite naturally chasing that goal anyway, irrespective of its implications.

But thanks for playing.

They do have coverage of the dramatic bottom six final day .. but you can genuinely tot up the mistakes here in what is literally 3 quick lines of copy. (Taken at 15:40)

— Motherwell - Dundee United is 1-1

— Saints - Livingston is 1-0, they’ve obviously chucked the bit for United’s game in there

— And that isn’t how you spell “facing.”

Any more?

Don't know if it goes in here or the tinpot thread but Kyogo winning SFWPotY shows how all the hacks are OF lackeys.

Not denigrating the guy, he's a tidy footballer but he also plays in a team that has domestic dominance and their possession much by up in the 70's on average.

Even if I didn't support Motherwell, Van Veen breaking a SPFL record from a team looking like they were going down in February is pretty remarkable before you factor in the tally of 29 goals.

Nothing whatsoever on the front page of BBC Sport Scotland about the bottom 6 matches..................

And their headline now is the womens cup final. They rarely give the womens game precedence over the mens game and given it is the last day of the premiership season that is somewhat surprising. I wonder why they took that editorial decision
