Yer Rangers supporting da has a column in the Record

Graeme Souness claims Celtic have enjoyed a big slice of VAR luck and that Rangers are trailing the title race due to refereeing decisions.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are nine points clear of their bitter rivals and such a chasm at the top has piled the pressure on Gio van Bornckhorst. The Dutchman is set to keep his job until the Premiership action resumes following the World Cup in Qatar, but needs results and quickly.

The Gers host the Hoops on 2 January in the second Old Firm clash of the season. There are another two to play before the campaign is out and maximum points could breathe new life into their challenge. Fall further behind though, and the Ibrox board will be expected to pull the trigger, especially after a Champions League campaign in which the Govan side managed the worst group stage return of any club to have taken part.

They were outclassed on the continent, but Souness believes the league table could look very different had VAR decisions Celtic have benefitted from gone the other way. Exactly which calls the Liverpool legend was referring to is unclear, and the green half of Glasgow will be sure to point out that they’ve had several high profile ones go against them in recent weeks.

However, Souness is adamant that the new technology has been a factor in his former club falling off the pace. He told BBC Scotland: “They [ Rangers ] have lost the games against Celtic which puts them [Celtic] in a very good position.

“But they [Celtic] have got away with a couple of very interesting VAR decisions.

“It could have been a very different story if they had gone against them.”

The exact opposite is the case, in my opinion. Celtic have had little to no luck with the VAR so no idea what he’s talking about. He should have asked for specifics.

Is he talking about the second goal against Motherwell?  Celtic were already a goal up.

From the BBC's coverage of the cup tie tonight.

"Pollok will be looking to inflict another SPFL scalp in the third-round.

At the weekend, we saw...

Drumchapel United defeat League 1 Edinburgh 1-0,

Darvel romp to victory over League 2 Montrose 5-2, and

University of Stirling slip by League 2 Albion Rovers."

Do you think Souness is able to enjoy a wee glass to wine during his all paid expenses trip to the WC?

Nobody shouts anything to him walking into Qatari stadiums cause no one knows who he is or gives two fucks. Probably think he's a kitman or something, the trampy looking daft ***.

"Mateu Lahoz branded 'useless' as Rangers villain sees Messi demand World Cup ban"

Which of Scotland's leading "newspapers" shoe horned this reference into a report about a World Cup Q/F?

To be fair. We have had him a couple of times in the last few seasons and he is fucking useless.

I was also at Cadiz v Real Betis in October and he was the ref and he was also fucking useless there too.
